[ *] State or Country: Vermont
[ *] School Type:Public; decent
[ *] Ethnicity: Caucasian (mostly Irish)
[ *] Gender: Male
[ *] major strength/weakness:Weaknesses- I wrote everything last minute. I go to a public school which never send anyone to Notre Dame. I'm the kind of applicant they get the most of. I stopped taking a foreign language a few years ago. Etc.
Strengths- SATs, I guess. RPI scholarship. Some leadership positions. Class rank. Nothing amazing, really.
[ *] why you think you were accepted/rejected/deferred: Just kind of an all around good applicant. No glaring weaknesses. I think ND likes to keep the school predominantly Irish, so maybe that helped.

Other Factors:

I'm applying for UND and it seems like I'm probably going to be one of the few international Indian students applying. Think they'll consider that as a hook? My SAT score is pretty alright (2010), ECs and school recommendations and grades are brilliant, and my essay is pretty catchy. Not applying for any kind of financial aid.

Amadeuic- "* Possible Majors: Classics, Biology, Physics." How can all of those be on the table? Isn't Classics in the College of Arts & Letters and the other two in College of Sciences? Which one did you get into?

Ok, so with the ND Scholars thing how much will that get me? i'm guessing more grants than loans bc of the whole no schollies thing but is it a very significant increase in aid or....?

Congrats to everyone that got in. haha for the "why do you want to go to ND" essay I kind of wanted to just write "duh" and send it in.

p.s. I'm gonna try to dbl. major in Mech. Eng. and French

^How do you do that? Can you take classes across colleges? For instance, I'm in College of Sciences, but can I take German in Arts and Letters or whatever? I REALLY need to do a bit more research.
