[] Major strength(s)/weakness(es): Awesome ACT, good essays... negative grade trend for sure...
[] Why you think you were accepted/rejected/deferred: I was honest and open with them, and I think I'm a lot different than many of their applicants
[] Other Factors: I think they wanted to let me get my decision by my birthday (the 28th) because the letter was dated the 26th and it arrived by Fed-Ex on the 28th...
[] Going to attend? I need to go visit, but I am seriously thinking about it. [/ul]

unforunately dana nope I am not. I like some schools I've gotten into better than Colgate, and I'm mad at them for putting me there!!! Good luck to you though!! :)

[] Essays: Good I guess – I don't think any evaluation I could make of them here would be fair. Almost every says at least "Good."[] Teacher Recs: Never saw them, but there were two nice quotes from them in my handwritten note ^_^.[] Counselor Rec: Never saw it. [] Hook (if any): Legacy. [] Other Factors:[] Going to attend?: Not sure. Probably not, but I don't know yet. I never really ordered my colleges in terms of how much I wanted to go.[/ul]

Congrats, everyone who got in! And do not lose your hopes, you waitlisted. And you still have a shot at other schools you applied to, you rejected!

I think I will receive exactly 6 mails on Monday. I really think it is going to be a tough day.

accepted! I haven't heard from other schools, but there's definitely a chance I'm going. Probably can't make it to the visiting days because I'll be in Florida.

justbumming, i can't believe you got waitlisted. how can anyone hear your story and not think you are amazing?

Thanks 5757, that's so so nice to hear and it gives me hope for my number one, ND. I thought my heartfelt story tied with my stats, grads, dad's position and extreme athletic participation would carry me through, but I guess not. It hurts knowing you're not good enough for a school!!

Thanks for your kind words though, hopefully ND can see some potential in me. I will let you know!

has anyone from the west coast been rejected or waitlisted? what sort of mail did you receive?

please email us, Colgate! we are too far away to receive packages soon!

Accepted with $48000! I am more than happy!

Holy cow. Congrats.
