[] Job/Work Experience: 1 year working for real estate agency (current), 2 years working at school snack bar.
[] Essays (subject and responses): I threw them together at the last minute (don’t stone me!) but I think they must have turned out pretty well. I wrote about guitar (daily ritual), Francie Nolan from A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, Darfur, and why and how I fell in love with Barnard.
[] Teacher Recs: Complimentary but nothing stellar. I had an absolutely amazing supplemental recommendation from my crew coach of 4 years.
[] Counselor Rec: Didn’t read, but should have been pretty good.

So, everyone who got letters already was accepted… OMG… This is freaking me out because I live pretty close to Barnard, and even people in the south got the letters already!! I didn’t get anything from Barnard yet, and this is sooooo ominous to me! My friend from school got hers on the 26th… Why I didn’t get anything? I was thinking that she got early because she is in the HEOP program… But, I guess not, since people out-state got the letters already too. Do you think Barnard would accept more than 1 girl from each school?

Waitlisted :X
I’m a little sad, but in a way this makes my decision a lot easier, so I’m sort of perversely pleased. I’m going to stay on the waitlist, as I do really like Barnard, but I know I didn’t want it NEAR as much as some of you. Oh well. Having come out of the college process with only one flat-out rejection (eff you, Vassar!), I have to say I’m pretty content.
