i’M innnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

Congrats to all who are in. As expected, I was rejected, but it’s been nice talking to you

Congrats, Gloria and chocolat!!! I KNEW IT. Woot.

And Gloria, Barnard can BRING IT ON. I’m going to do whatever I can to get in RD. This deferral I think was a challenge for me to be sure that Barnard is the school I want to attend, and now I know more than ANYTHING in the world that it is.

Enjoy it, y’all! I’m still waiting to hear back from UChicago, where I applied EA.

Hello all!
I just joined this site and I AM ALSO APPLYING ED TO BARNARD AND HAVE YET TO RECEIVE MY LETTER. My mom just suggested reading these forums. I feel that if I had known about them I would have been all over them these past few months while playing the waiting game. Well, tomorrow will be the big day for me. Congratulations to all who have been accepted and to those rejected/deferred- keep your heads up. You know that you will be happy wherever you end up! I’ve honestly enjoyed reading all the things that you guys (gals?) have said on this forum and I hope that I can call ALL of you my classmates next year in NYC!!! Barnard is almost like a passion for me. On my second visit (when I went for the interview), I already felt like I was at home. I really love it and hope to have a positive response tomorrow. :)

oh no, Wej! And i know how much this meant to you…I’m so concerned right now. There doesn’t seem to be any kind of trend where its all acceptances first, then deferrals, rejections, etc. But a girl from my school found out today (rejected), but I haven’t gotten ANYTHING. wth??? I’m so worried…

But congratulations to chocolat3 and gloria!!! and Plumhill!

Did your letter specifically say “deferral” or something like that to differentiate it from a flat-out rejection?

IM IN! it still hasn’t sunk in yet. the first thing that crossed my mind was that now I have to withdraw all of my applications to other schools…

Congratulations to everyone who has made it in thus far! To those who were deferred make sure and tell Barnard how much you want it, because it has been studied that students who re-contact the college are more likely to get admitted in the long run. Do not lose hope! For those who did not make it, I’m sorry. Make the best of whichever college you get into! College is whatever YOU make of it!

Congrats all!

I. am. so. anxious.
