I’ve got a 3.85 unweighted GPA and a 29 (superscore 31) on my ACT. I go to a really good high school and probably about twenty or so students were accepted EA. I am a member of NHS and was on varsity tennis last year and JV the years before that. I also took two “high achievers” courses at MSU and got a 4.0 in both. I was deferred EA but apparently I got the “good” email, although I don’t think that really means anything. Does anyone know what my chances might be? Also I am in state.

Hey guys, I hate to tell you that for us people on trimesters, our 2nd tri doesn’t end until late-March. And the letter says to submit your 7th semester/2nd tri grades… So until the 2nd tri this year for us is done they won’t have a clear picture of the incoming class, meaning they won’t send out any decisions… Hope that helps

^ Actually you’re completely wrong. Every single year they start sending out decisions in February. Even though they don’t have your most recent grades you can still be accepted or rejected.

Has anyone heard anything yet?

i haven’t :/

i have a feeling that we will not know until next weekend…

Granipc, it’s extremely bad. I mean, technically we have the means to host 3 AP classes, but U.S. History is never able to run because not enough kids ever sign up for it (I’ve signed up for it every year since Sophomore year, but at most we’ve ever had 9 kids sign up - minimum is 15 to run the course). Because the school was becoming a “target school” due to having too much of a GPA gap between the high achieving/low achieving students, weighted grades were removed completely in order to not give kids taking very high level classes too much of an advantage over kids who just didn’t have the capacity to, kids who needed to work just as hard to succeed in lower level classes. On the one hand, I see WHY they did it, and we would have lost a lot of funding if our trend continued, but on the other hand, this is COMPLETELY unfair for all the kids who have the means and the will to work hard in advanced classes and want to see some recognition for their work. Mrryyyeerrghh.

I really, really cannot wait until we hear back from UMich.

Guys, the deadline says they will release decisions by April 1st. Even though they usually start releasing them earlier, don’t get your hopes up for them to be released on some specific day earlier. It’s all speculation and rumor. The stress is going to eat you up when you should just chill, because decisions probably won’t come for a while and there’s no way to know when they willll…

I read somewhere that some decisions will be released tomorrow

^How sure are you?

“Read it somewhere”??

Somewhere as in on this website, mid February an tomorrow
Friday. also I personally just think that it’s getting late so it would make sense

Lol it’s not getting late, decisions are being released by April 1st. It’s the middle of February, calm your balls

well it’s late compared to the previous years, and they release decisions in batches, so not all of them would be at once. and i dont have balls but okay.

Hahahahaha okay but the latest is still a month and a half away. Take some xannies or something

Eh. I won’t keep my hopes really high for tomorrow. If it DOES happen, totally radical, it’ll be a wonderful surprise. If it doesn’t, though, at least I won’t feel that disappointment sitting at my laptop thinking, “aww, maybe next week…” :P

im feelin that it will be tomorrow… this is mid february and the past years has been between february 7th and 15th…

^ I’ve a strong feeling its gonna be 15th too!

I hope so!
