it might have been last friday. im thinking that decisions are going to be mailed every friday from now on… well at least i hope so

My friend received her letter and certificate of admittance in the mail yesterday for the school of music, theatre, and dance. I wish we would hear soon :(

Nothing yet :(

Michigan is perfect for me I just want to know already! Waiting sucks but hopefully it won’t be much longer.

I just want to know before I fill out my March Madness bracket. I’d like to have Michigan winning but if I get rejected I’m not so sure about that.

Michigan won’t win this year

I agree FraNeighbor. Michigan has a decent team, but not a top 10 team at this stage. They will lose to any good team on the road on most days. You need to have a strong presence inside in order to win tough games, and Michigan does not have that year. We have talent, but it is young. I see Michigan being a 3rd seed and losing in the Sweet 16, or Elite 8 at the very best.

^^^They also need some more mental toughness. Missing 3 out of 4 free throws at the end in front of your own fans is not going to win a close game against a top team.

^ True that, those free throws were killer.

If they had a good inside game then they would be a serious contender. Burke can only drain so many threes to keep them in the game. The big men just weren’t getting it done on the boards.

That ball was literally right on the edge of in or out, the replay is crazy. Best game I’ve seen in a while.

Not to lower anyone’s spirits, but I feel like Michigan already took the kids they wanted. But then again, I got the deferred letter that said they wanted to see my second trimester grades… has anyone gotten that letter and been accepted?

As of a week or two to go they still had 6,000 applications to review. They probably aren’t even done looking over all the apps at this point.

They’ll get into Sweet 16, maybe. I don’t think they’re Elite Eight material to be honest.

oh yeah forgot to post here
got into lsa on 3/1
in-state, 3.6/31, strong 7th semester grades, good recs and all that business
sent in the deposit check today

thegr3atest, last year son was asked to send his senior year Fall grades, after applying in October, and he was accepted in April. But he also earned a 4.0+ all semesters junior and senior years.

really guys who do u think is gonna win the tourney then??
Indiana - theyre hella inconsistent and they keep losing
Duke - one injury and theyre out
gonzaga - LOL
Miami - kinda falling off
GTown - possible
Cuse - not that good to win
i think Duke, UNC, Michigan, Indiana, Louisville, Georgetown, Ohio St. and Syracuse make the elite eight

When you go into either of these links for the meetings, they don’t say if they are for in state or LSA; how did you find out which group of people they were relevant for?

Is the one on March 12 for in state all schools and the March 27th one exclusive to LS&A?

Thanks a lot for posting this very important event information. I don’t think they sent these links to all admitted students.

@JR gotta give it to Duke at this point. With Ryan Kelly back they are a different team than they were the first part of the season. If I’m correct they’re undefeated after his return. Indiana is relatively inconsistent (2 home losses against solid teams/away losses vs. Illinois and Minn), the Zags look good on paper but had a pretty weak schedule, and the rest of the teams have an outside shot at winning in my opinion.

I agree with dfree…Duke has to be the favorite and number one seed.

Could you maybe have a thread about basketball and leave this one for deferral/admissions issues?
