OFFICIAL Deferred Class of 2017

Nothing… I’m tired of waiting…

My son is waiting for U Chicago. I think that school has been a lot more sensitive to its waiting applicants.

My guess, which has no evidence to back it up, is that a few will trickle in from now until approximately April 5-6 when there will be the last wave and everybody else’s decisions get released. In other words I think we’ve seen the last wave before the tidal wave.

I’d be inclined to agree with you OttawaAl, except for the chats (posted about earlier) already scheduled for admitted students. Based on those dates, my own prediction is that the Ad Com will have pretty much cleared out their desks by the end of next week.

Looks like another sleepless Thursday night next week

Admissions Haiku

Engineering school,
Why no email for my son?
You drive me to drink.

Last year when they released decisions at this time was it at midnight? Or was it at 5-6pm? So anxious!!

Not sure if they’re doing things like last year, but last year the decisions started coming on Friday afternoons and went well into the night and Saturday, depending on where you are in the country.

I just feel like there’s so many of us that have yet to receive a decision…they can’t possibly be finished sending the waves! Optimism is key ;)

I know preaching patience is hard. Here is my experience. I was deferred out of high school but was eventually admitted and graduated from the Business School. My son was a 3.6 UW and 31 ACT (2015) and was deferred, waitlisted then rejected, then accepted as a Soph transfer and is living the dream in A2 now. My daughter is a 2017 applicant that has been deferred from COE (3.8 UW 29 ACT).

So don’t take it personally, U of M treats everyone this way. BTW my kids will be 3rd generation alumni so legacy means exactly 0 in the overall scheme of things.

Yet another Friday’s come without me receiving a decision. Two other people, at least, in my school already have.

They received a decision today?

Sportsmom, Beechw00d… hearing from experienced parents like you is the only thing keeping me sane right now. Your messages are an enormous help. Thank you!

i just talked to live chat people… and they said that “March 1 was the last announced date.”… what the heck!! how are people getting their decisions when the lastest release was March 1st… :(

one word of advice… don’t ever ever believe the live chat guys. even if your life depended on it

My son is a transfer applicant but I’ve been posting here because my heart goes out to ALL applicants… especially those who have been deferred.

Just to let you know that my son’s decision just popped up on Wolverine Access. I’m nearly hysterical with joy to say that he has been accepted.

I’m rooting for all of you!!!

Congratulations Village mom! happy for you!!
but did the decision JUST popped out? and where are you from? OOS or in state?

Congratulations!!! …still dying haha

Thank you, shj941013! Yes, I was constantly refreshing Wolverine Access and nothing changed. Then at 10:45am EST there was a new link… View Decision. I about had a heart attack.

My son is in state and is transfering from a community college to the CoEngineering with 70 credits and a 3.9.

I’m going to praying for all of you all day!

So is the speculation that if you haven’t heard yet it won’t be until early April?
