Deferred even with Research. QQ

I should probably check if they even got the paper, which is a step I should have took a while ago. Who should I email for that?

^Ugh, does research even matter?

I’m starting to wonder if I should submit the 3 research papers or not…do they even look at them?

have taken.

Yes, they look at research papers and yes, you should submit them.

My research is ongoing. I gave a vague description of the project, but I don’t think I can go into depth because it is DoD funded… I did get a letter of recommendation from the head of the lab, but is there anything else I should submit.

PS: I got deferred

Research will help a little bit, but if you have AWARDS for your research project, it will help greatly. :)

^What if you were not permitted to submit your research to any competitions?

Then I guess you have to inform the adcom about your unique situation and they will probably take that into account.

If you gave vague generalizations about your project, most likely the students reading it (or faculty) assumed you didn’t actually accomplish any decent research. I would make sure they understand you have a unique situation. If you really can’t go into depth, explain why and get someone to corroborate for you.
