[li] Teacher Recommendation (only if you saw it): The one from my U.S. teacher was superb. I didn’t see the one from AP lang…[/li]
[li] Counselor Rec (only if you saw it) :Didn’t see.[/li]
[li] Additional Rec (only if you saw it):From my uncle who I interned with last summer in Hamburg. Broken English. I didn’t have him change it b/c I wanted it to seem natural but I’m scared the admissions committee laughed at the funny way he said things.[/li]
[li] Interview:Solid. Don’t think it had any affect honestly.[/li]

Other

[li] State (if domestic applicant):CT[/li]
[li] Country (if international applicant):[/li]
[li] School Type:380 kids. Crappy school.[/li]
[li] Ethnicity:White[/li]
[li] Gender:M[/li]
[li] Hooks (URM, first generation college, research, etc.): Don’t [/li]

see any.

Reflection

[li]Strengths: SAT wasn’t bad and probably helped make me look smarter than my math grades did.[/li]

[li] Weaknesses:Math, math, math. Killed my GPA. And my stupidity for insisting on taking Honors. Had I taken math without honors my GPA would be much higher. I should’ve just accepted my faults. Ahh well. No major awards also didn’t help.
[/li]

[li] Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected:I think my ECs and SATs at least got me waitlisted, along with my senior year grades. Rejected due to GPA probably.[/li]

General Comments: Sad.

accepted to trinity! way way way too excited to post stats right now, will do it later!!!

Decision: Accepted Trinity

[] SAT II: Didn’t take.
[] Unweighted GPA (out of 4.0): 4.0
[] Rank (percentile if rank is unavailable): 1/475 (shared)
[] AP (place score in parenthesis):

[] Essays: Very good (main one about aliens + me, short answer about tennis, “Why Duke” solid but not exceptional.)
[] Teacher Recommendation: Excellent
[] Counselor Rec: Very good-Excellent (didn’t see but I have like the highest test scores in the history of my school so I imagine it was pretty flattering)
[] Additional Rec:
[] Interview: Terrible
[/ul]

[] School Type: Public (not competitive at all)
[] Ethnicity: White

[] Hooks (URM, first generation college, etc.):None.[/ul]
Reflection[ul]
[] Strengths: Test scores, GPA, essays, recommendations, IB rather than AP
[] Weaknesses: Interview (I was really “blah”), no subject tests, no national awards, EC’s were (imo) sub-par (I was half expecting deferral because of this).
[] Why you think you were accepted/deferred: Strong test scores and grades out of a really weak public school, essay was pretty unique
[] Where else were you accepted/deferred: Didn’t apply anywhere else! (ED)[/ul]
General Comments:
Well I’m really happy; high school doesn’t really matter anymore, I can just enjoy life! BTW I did have my tab throughout the entire process and I stand by my earlier conjecture that it was a harbinger of acceptancce/deferral (however I’m sure they will fix the problem in years to come). Congrats to everyone else accepted. To those deferred don’t give up!!!

hmmmm, this is not coming out well. i’ll fix it and post my stats tomorrow. for now…

ACCEPTED!
