[ *] Second Essay (subject - and personal opinions on it): Is this Why Duke? Solid, in my opinion. Also sent in additional Why Duke-ish essay after I was deferred. It was personal, and instead of being about why I wanted Duke, it was more about why Duke should pick me.

My counselor doesn’t really know me but after a ten minute meeting with me, she wrote one of the best recommendations I’ve ever read.[/li][ *] Additional Rec (only if you saw it): I had, in total, 6 letters of rec go to Duke (LOL). One from my Mom (duke alum), one from the President of the Entrepreneur Council of my county and one from the Dean of Students at Hood College. All really, really awesome.

I now regret applying to Amherst because i am absolutely sick of this meaningless process. I was accepted at Swarthmore, Duke, Dartmouth, UChicago w/merit Aid. Waitlisted at WUSTL, Carleton???, and Bowdoin. Rejected at Harvard, Princeton and Brown, no surprises there.</p>
