**** OFFICIAL DUKE CLASS OF 2019 REGULAR DECISION (RD) DISCUSSION ****

Wait listed. I felt confident about my chances after the likely I received from Columbia and admission at Vanderbilt and WashU St. Louis, but every school views you differently. Congratulations to all who were accepted!

Accepted. Feel very lucky

In case anyone is wondering for next year or something, Duke does sends emails congratulating you on your acceptance. I received one this morning at 6.

Waitlisted…Oh well

Rejected.
2380 SAT
Decent everything else.
Congrats to everyone! Although I feel incredibly blessed to get into Vandy and Emory, I feel hopeless with the Ivies now.

Rejected…Accepted at Emory, Vandy and Cornell. Congrats to all accepted!

If you haven’t received enough aid, can you appeal? How successful are appeals usually? Our EFC is about 23,000 with me and my sister going to college but we are currently going to be paying 60K next year together and we can’t afford this.

@Lanie49‌ Dude, I was destroyed by college admissions before getting in to Duke. Rejected from MIT, waitlisted to Caltech, deferred from Princeton SCEA, waitlisted to Northwestern…and lol, after Duke, the randomness continues. Accepted to JHU BME, waitlisted at UMich (I mean, really?), waitlisted at CMU (SCS, CIT), rejected at CMU Dietrich (I mean, again, really?). Anything can happen.

I know someone who was deferred from Princeton SCEA and outright rejected from Northwestern, and then was accepted to Stanford.

Keep your head high.

But for now, Duke Class of 2019!!!

Rejected at Emory but accepted at Duke…oh my god!

Waitlisted woo

Starting to get tired of the daily emails. Anyone else getting tired of school’s non stop calls and emails? If you want us as much as you claim, raise the aid.

but what happened to lil terio tho

S (California) was waitlisted. Any idea on # that was waitlisted? Also - based on prior years - how many accepted off of this list? S is focused on decision this month based on his acceptances (Dartmouth, CMC, WashU, and Cal Berkeley), but would help to know chances at Duke. Thank you!
