I called Duke and a man told me that no decisions are released yet.

anyone know how many applicants/how many they are admitting?

Last year approximately 80 out of 800 were admitted, but someone posted that Duke over-enrolled its class of 2014, implying that considerably fewer applicants will be admitted this year.

@SwaGGeReR:

How do you know that?

lol…read my post.

I think decisions will be out on the 12th of May

Why may 12th?

That’s when Penn’s releasing their so decisions so maybe it’ll go for a lot of other schools as well.

They said mid-May…

Do they release decisions via email?

Just called. They are aiming for May 12th. email coming next week with info for exactly when and where to access decisions. They release them online.

Just received the email. Decisions will be posted online at 10:00 AM EST on May 12.

Good luck guys!

That’s so soon! But I wish everyone the best of luck! Hopefully, we’ll be seeing some accepted posts on here in a week.

Dear ___________,

For some odd reason, the above gives off the vibe of rejection…

^I think it’s the same for everyone

^^seriously, that doesn’t sound like admittance. I dont’ feel well about the wording. Anyone got anything other than that?

I got the same in my email

@gentlebeast:

Yes, that really is likely rejection. “wish you much success as you continue your education”

Anyone received a different email?

I have the same thing, but I highly doubt the school took the time to reword 60 or so of the e-mail sent out for acceptances. We’re definitely reading way too much into it. Are most of us going to get rejected? Yep, it’s just the way the stats go, but I think we should just wait until our fate is known next week.

I received the same thing but a small “;)” was attached to the bottom after his signature… Wonder if that means anything.
