Official EA Countdown Thread!

So here it is! The Official EA Countdown Thread! :p
You can pretty much post whatever you want here: thoughts, anxieties, hopes, etc...

Days until December 15th: 48

ooh, this is too black and white for me

but knowing my luck with being contacted, i won't get my letter until like 2005

Is there anyway to confirm our application did indeed make it?

No, unless you did Express or Return Card. Calling them won't do a thing. I tried it -- they will only verify reception of Part I.

Are you kidding? That's horrible. Now the next six weeks of my life are going to be spent with constant preoccupation about if it made it there or not. Bah! How will I live?!

yeah, tlaktan, tell me about it. i just called them, they were like, yep, your interview should be within the week, don't worry-- sorry, can't tell you about your app. No. goodbye now.

well, that sucks. I guess if I get deferred, I can check then...but who's thinking that? It's time to put on the optiistic face for the camera.

46 days...

So how would we find out if our app. was received? Could we email them? If it's incomplete, will they notify us?

Also- if I forgot to check a box (the financial aid box, silly me), should I just email them and tell them?

questions about financial aid-- when is it due and where do we get the form?

45 days... that's only a month and a half away!

40 days...

That's scary. What is that, like two fortnights or something? Hehehe.

Question: Do we get emailed about the decisions, or is it mail-only?

No idea...I kind of hope they are mailed. I just always expected to hear by mail, you know, and open the letter and have it in my hands and be like, "Damn. I really DO suck." when I get rejected.

I don't know...and I think that by sending big envelopes that takes away all the suspense.

The last couple of years georgetown has sent all decisions in a regular white business sized envelope - so you'll have plenty of suspense. I believe they usually are sent to arrive on 12/15.

You cannot be denied early action, manderz. Only deferred.

39 days...

I got an email that confirmed my Part II made it. There's no way to make sure that any of the recommendations make it though. They say that they'll contact you if they're missing any part of your app.

Seeing as how they've contacted me by email most of the time, I'm expecting my decision through that. I guess I'll see on Dec. 15 though.

39 days indeed.

Hey Threevan, how many days after you sent your application did it take for you to get that email?

Probably 10+ days.

Thanks! So I shouldnt start worrying until after monday...

I hate not knowing whether or not my application got there! :(

I called them about something else and they said everything was all set, including Part II...dunno if they were supposed to tell me that, but they did
