I think that I am going to be sick due to lack of sleep/nervousness/I cant eat because of this waiting!!! I can't stand it. And yeah, did I mention I am SO nervous. Are you guys feeling the same thing?

I think that I am going to be sick due to lack of sleep/nervousness/I cant eat because of this waiting!!! I can't stand it. And yeah, did I mention I am SO nervous. Are you guys feeling the same thing?

--Lauren

EXACTLY the same, Lauren! I swear, I can't even concentrate on my schoolwork. I feel like I'm going to throw up from nervousness, and today, I was home sick due to a migraine (I get them a few times a year when I'm extremely tense. Hmmm, wonder what I'm so tense about...) Anyway I think these are the two most stressful, nerve wracking and all around crappy weeks ever!

Ah! Same here. I just can't take my mind off of it, and I make myself nauseous by thinking what my chances are. But I keep forgetting to realize that the process is over, and I can't do anything about it. They've probably made all of their decisions.

BTW, where are you from??

Best of luck to you!

--Lauren

Yep, you're right. It's TOTALLY out of our hands at this point. Now we can only hope (and fill out other applications, which is so hard to do right now. I cannot wait until all this is over and all the apps are sent!) BTW, do you know where else you're applying?

I'm from New York (unfortunately- talk about an overrepresented state!) What about you?

Good luck to you too! I swear, I'll be just as disappointed if others on this board aren't accepted as I will be if I'm not.

-Lauren

I'm from Louisiana, a (thankfully) underrepresented state at Georgetown.

So far, I've only applied to Georgetown, LSU, and Tulane. I am in the process of applying to George Washington University and American University, but (of course) I'd much rather go to Georgetown. What about you (in terms of colleges)?

Yeah, this waiting, it definitely sucks. Blaaaah.

--Lauren

Oooh, lucky you! Louisiana, that's awesome.

I'm sort of freaking out about my college list right now, because I think I might be aiming too high. I was already accepted into the U. of Mich (Ann Arbor) Honors Program, which I was excited about because that was a safety school I would actually love to attend. So I don't really feel like I need another safety, although I did apply to U. Wisc @ Madison. But anyway, the rest of my list is: Stanford (yeah right!), U. Penn, Brown, Tufts and UVA. I just wish I had another true "match" school, because all of these seem like either "high matches" or real reach schools....

-Lauren

Wow!! That's awesome though. To go to an out-of-state college, it seems to me like you ahve to be extremely dedicated, and you are applying to a bunch of schools! Good for you.

As for me, I don't feel like I have any other match schools, because I have to be in a big city to keep me occupied all the time, and I also do not deal well with extreme cold. So, you know, that leaves room for D.C. schools or maybe somewhere in San Francisco, but I'm content with applying to 3 DC area schools.

Which school did you apply to at Georgetown?

--Lauren

Hey your list is pretty great too! I applied to the SFS, and I'd love to major in international politics. What about you? What do you want to major in?

-Lauren

Lauren and Lauren -- Whoa! :P

Woot. Go Laurens. Haha.

Lauren,
I applied to the college. I'm very interested in going to law school after undergraduate, so I am interested in majoring in psychology (what my dad did before he went to law school) or political science.

--Lauren

Less than 13 days!!! (hopefully more like 10)

I'm so scared. It's all I think about. I've got everyone in my youth group praying for me... I could go for some divine intervention right about now.

God bless you.

Gesundheit.

Le'Chaim.

I'm going to bed.

They really need to sell some sort of nausea-relief for college applicants. It's so weird...as I read these boards I just tense up and feel ill.

I'm working on my columbia/brown apps right now and it is killing me. I can't concentrate before I know about Georgetown.

I'm from a tiny town in CA, 5 min from the oregon border. I'm applying to Georgetown SFS, Columbia, Brown, Reed, Lewis and Clark, UC berkeley, and Tufts if I get deferred from GTown (and I don't kill myself).

I should be studying for my SAT II's, but no, I am surfing the college boards. so sad.

I gave up on my other applications all together- I just couldn't focus. Hopefully I'll get in, so I won't be killing myself with apps from Dec. 15th to Jan. 1st!

Assuming you get in, what other colleges will you be applying to? (This question is directed at everyone).

If I get in, I will apply to Brown, Yale, Harvard, and possibly Dartmouth (just for fun, since I'd already be in at G-Town).

PS- I can't believe it's already December- the same month we get our decisions!

If I get in Georgetown, my money's going to Georgetown for a deposit. No chance in heck I'd go anywhere ele.

As incredible an opportunity as it would be to go to the Naval Academy/West Point, I'd go ahead and make a deposit at GT if I got in. There's too much good stuff going for GT not too! i.e. internships, study abroad, NROTC, great location, ability to start a network in DC...

But someone said something further back on this board (I think it was this board, anyways) that made a lot of sense. CCers tend to be major over-achievers, so we all need to remember that there's quite a few people out there that have a lot lower scores than everyone here. I try to keep that in the back of my head as I nervously await my acceptance/deferral letter.

Oh, and thank you Netshark. :)

No problem. Good luck to everyone, it would be great if we could all do a CC reunion at Georgetown when (if, damnit) we get in.

I just wanted to let you guys know that I received my EA decision last year exactly on the 15th. I think they put those stamps that say, "To be delivered on:", but I'm not completely sure. My home is in Arizona so the date might be different depending on whether you live on the East or West Coast. Good luck everyone!

Ahhh!!! 13 (or maybe even as few as 11!!!) days left!

throws up
