ilcapo, why is that embarrassing? My daughter's also showed undeclared, and we were planning on correcting it. Did others have their's corrected?

I didn't have mine corrected, I figured since I checked it on both parts they must have had a reason...

should I have it corrected do you think? they at least know what school I want to apply to..

I believe that the major is undeclared, and what you're checking is only the prospective major--it's not finalized.

That's what I'm thinking...

33 days! That's 4 weeks and 5 days! Or one month and five days!

And, in six days, it will be less than a month... scary.

Tick, tock, tick, tock...

31 days...and I expect a daily update, too. (Not that it's unexpected)

I keep thinking about how I'm going to react on Dec. 15th. I seriously don't know if I'll even be able to open the letter- I'll probably be shaking too much to tear it open! And either way (deferred or accepted), I'm pretty sure I'll be on the ground crying. Hopefully it will be out of happiness and not despair, but I don't want to get my hopes up....

Arghhhhhhhhhhhhh <-- That was a nervous yell by the way.

Oh and I was just thinking, it's going to be so upsetting if some of us get in and others don't. I want all of you guys to get in just as badly as I do myself, so I feel like I have to be 20 times as nervous to compensate for all of us.

Wow- I would be so upset if everyone on this board didn't make it in. I'm kind of already assuming that we all will, and I haven't given any thought to what would happen if we didn't! This is going to make Dec. 15th that much more unbearable- it'll be like getting 20 letters that day instead of one! Oh no. Seriously, though, we all need to make it in. I don't think I could handle it if we didn't. Grrrrrr... I officially despise the month December... and the number 15.

31 days!?! That's practically a month! nervousnervousnervousnervousnervous.

are there really 20 of us doing EA? different schools of gtown, though...

but still-- scary...and someone told me the other day that they only send the letters out on the 15th...so the mail won't be delivered til like the 18th. that's pretty scary. and what if the mail gets lost? mine always does!

Are you sure that the 15th isnt like the final day, and that if they complete your's earlier they send it earlier? I understood that everyone would know by the 15th, that means some would know earlier etc., kind of like the SATs

In the old forum, everyone said they got their letters on December 13th. It didn't matter where they lived, it was Dec. 13th across the board. I wonder if it will be the same this year...

can you imagine some of us getting letters on the 13th and some getting letters on the 18th? we'd all cry

I really hope that doesn't happen. I seriously just want us all to get letters of acceptance on Dec. 13th. How awesome would that be? :)

That would be great. It would be torture for someone on this board to get their letter on the 13th and then for me to have to wait 5 days to get mine... I think I would have a heart attack.

Hey everyone! I'm starting a new thread so we don't overcrowd this one with non-countdown related stuff. :)

Go to the "Georgetown EA Lounge" (PS- props to Princeton for the name idea!).

I think 12/15 was on a Sunday last year. That may be why the letters were received a couple days early. The year before 12/15 was on a Saturday, and most letters were received that day.

30 days! That's exactly ONE MONTH!

November 15th + one month = December 15th = the Day of Reckoning

oh man, thinking back, the 15th of the month has been a day of bad news for me in the past...here's hoping not December 15th
