Did any of you guys who got accepted by checking the pay deposit find out today or yesterday?

I found out yesterday toody

I know this question was asked a million times, but, if you aren’t able to login thus far, are you definitely rejected or deferred? This is stressing me out!

It’s not definite. The only thing that’s definite is that if you can log in, then you’re accepted. If you’re not eligible to log in, it MAY mean that you were deferred/rejected but it may also mean that they haven’t added you into the system or whatever. They still have until the 23rd after all. Hope this helped! (for the record, I attend Bing, and the same thing happened last year)

Thanks a lot, BUbearcat19! Your response helped me a lot! Binghamton is one of my top choices, so I’m just crossing my fingers that I get my desired response a week from today!

BUbearcat. Do you mean that last year those who couldn’t log in ended up getting accepted early action?

How about I ask this question, for clarity sake,

If I can log in and it says I’m eligible to pay, is acceptance a guarantee?

I just don’t what to say “YAY! I got accepted!” and find a rejection letter in the mail a week later…

It did from what I’m aware of haha. And yes, it basically is a guarantee. You wouldn’t be able to pay a deposit if you weren’t accepted! :)

For some people* at least. I never checked this way, so I can’t tell you definitely. Though one of my friends had mentioned it once…

Have the people who posted they were accepted received a letter in the mail or are you relying on the ability to use the Pay Your Deposit tab?

wdhinn89: I’ve been following this thread closely, and am quite sure that every acceptance posted here has been based on ability to log on to Pay Your Deposit. According to other posters, not being able to log in could mean one of three things: acceptance not yet entered into the system, or deferral, or rejection.

BU will be sending out notifications by snail mail on January 23rd. My understanding is that they don’t do email notification, at least not in the past.

I cannot verify “logging in” issues BUT, if you log in and see you’re eligible to pay your deposit, you’re definitely accepted.
Although as one poster found, not to first choice, Watson but, accepted to Harpur, probably their second choice.
Big green envelopes arrive about a week later.

Yeah, the people who have been accepted have found out through quikpay where you can pay your deposit. I don’t think official letters will be getting to you until the 23rd exactly, because that’s just the way bing is haha. But you’ll know if you got accepted just by looking at the envelope once you get it, they say “youre the one that we want!” in big letters. Binghamton does not send out acceptant/rejection emails (or at least they have not in the past).

A question on behalf of those of us who haven’t been able to log in to QuikPay: is it possible to not be able to log in to Quik Pay right up to when the letters go out? In other words, do some people get the Big Green Envelope before they are able to log in to QuikPay? I can’t log in, but then again, no one at my school (in NYC) has been able to yet and we have a pretty good acceptance rate at BU, so I’m still hoping, although I’m bracing for the worst.

One of my sons can log in to pay with 95 average and 29 ACT. The other son has 94 average and 1830 ACT and cannot log in. Do you think he has a chance?

If decisions are being mailed out on the 23rd we won’t get them until one or two days after that correct?
