I feel like I had ok stats for BC, but being a white kid from a public MA high school killed me. Also, someone with ridiculous stats from my high school also applied EA and got into the honors program, so that hurt me as well.

Wow....I have no clue how some of you were outright rejected and I was able to get in.

A few of you certainly deserve it more than I.

Well Mystic.. you have to consider. Although my SAT and ACT scores are at the top of BC's range, I am a white public school student from the state of Massachusetts. BC does not like taking multiple students from MA public high schools, and my friend who got accepted into the honors program (from my school) was much more qualified than I am.

So even though you feel like maybe you did not deserve to be accepted, I disagree. You are from Connecticut (out-of-state) which is an awesome feature for BC applicants. Also, you haven't posted your stats yet, so you may have some really nice EC's or hooks that helped in your admission decision.

I really am not sure how I gained admission. Neither of my parents attended college, and my school is pretty much horrible all-around. We spend $2,000 less than we should per student, and probably less than 15% go to college, and even less than that get into a top school. I think my recs and my essay really helped (you can read it if you want).

congrats to everyone who got in. i'm definetly a tad bit jealous.
