Nearly most challenging school load possible (not taking AP English/AP European history)</p>

Teacher Recommendations: Have not seen, but I'd estimate above average.
Guidance Recommendation: Have not seen, but I'd estimate incredibly good.
ECs: Four years cross country (3 Varsity), Four years basketball (2 Varsity), Three years track (1 Varsity). Math team (2 years), Peer Tutoring, Held summer jobs and have been level 8 USSF soccer referee for five years.
I self-studied for the two economics exam because our school did not offer it. The highest class any junior can take at our school is Precalculus Honors, but I took that during the summer of my sophomore year so I was able to take AP Calculus my junior year and got a 5 on the exam.
I have written for fantasy sports websites.
Got first in school for National History Day: Multimedia Division and participated in state fair.
Highest scorer on math team (in its entirety) as a junior, high scorer on Catholic High School Math League tests and also High scorer for AMC12 and scored a 4 on the AIME.</p>

<p>Hi everyone :) I have never posted on College Confidential until today but have been lurking for several months. I live about 20 minutes from Boston and was accepted into the Honors Program in the College of Arts and Sciences. Here are my stats:</p>

SAT II: Literature - 760 US History - 730
AP World History: 5 US History: 4 Taking AP Bio, Literature, and Calculus now

Taken the most challenging courseload possible</p>

<p>My essay and recommendations were really good, and I have a substantial list of extracurriculars and awards, including a national award for writing. I plan to attend BC provided I get sufficient financial aid.</p>

<p>i got into the honors program and i feel bad having taken the spot from the higher test scorers.</p>

<p>Don't feel bad taking a spot, you offered something to the admissions officer that everybody who did not get accepted EA offered.</p>

<p>i didn't get accepted into the honors program either.. i don't quite understand how it works. was everyone offered 4 yrs of housing who didn't get accepted?</p>
