I think it was Thursday the 18th the year before (2008)… so Thursday 12/16 would be my guess but who really knows… they give themselves to the end of the month so all speculation is just that. I did read on an old thread that they shut down access to your status page the morning they post decisions… so that will be the clue. Till then … :P

hehe i guess living in NJ has at least one beneficial aspect :p

MA2011, I didn’t fill out the CSS either. But you can still fill out FAFSA right?

there is also a later deadline for CSS - I think that was just the early deadline. The next one is in February.

Yea, I think that the css form was only due this early if you wanted an early aid package. If you missed it, I think you can just file it during the regular decision rounds with the FAFSA.

But if you do the regular CSS but applied early action to NEU, that doesn’t delay your early action app to regular decision right? haha this whole process is so confusing!

A late submission of the CSS only delays your financial aid letter. It doesn’t really have anything to do with admission notification. (Right? I’m pretty sure I submitted mine late… I’m a sophomore now, so I don’t remember exactly.)

It won’t affect your admissions decision if you didn’t file CSS by the early deadline. But if you’re counting on need-based financial aid, call the financial aid office and see if they are still accepting it. If you missed this deadline, you will have to wait until after the next to get your need-based package. That’s all that should happen if you don’t get CSS in by the early deadline.

Should we get a confirmation of some kind when they get our CSS profile thing? I finished it before December 1st, but I haven’t gotten any mention of it in an email. It’s not under my “submitted documents” list on my MyNEU thing either. I also got the email on December 1st telling me to fill out the profile, lol.

I think we got a confirmation. When in doubt, call. Can you log on to collegeboard and see? You have to pay, so there should be a record.

I’m soo anxious for next week. Hopefully next Thursday will be a good one :D

^Ugh, same! I’m going to be in Costa Rica next week too, I hope it doesn’t ruin my trip, lol.

I just logged on and collegeboard said it was delivered on Nov. 29th. It also said that even if the college hasn’t updated saying they have it, they have it. I’ll probably call anyway, since I need to tell them I’m taking an extra class next semester too and my regional counselor’s email didn’t work :

wow this is one time living in CT has been beneficial. definitely nervous, good luck everyone!

I am glad I am not the only one who has been waiting ALL of December for a letter/e-mail. I check everyday… hopefully it will come next week.
Good luck everyone!!!

So why do you guys want to go to Northeastern?
I wanna go there because of the city of boston, the business program, and all the opportunities. The one thing I don’t like about Northeastern is that they don’t have a football team…

I didn’t even know about the CSS profile until i got the email Dec 2, a day after the supposed deadline. Anyway, I called the school and the lady who talked to me just said to get it in whenever I can. She didn’t really give me a deadline even though I told her I was EAing the school.

Does anyone know what submitting it later exactly does? Is it really just a delayed financial aid letter? Do you get less aid or what? I really don’t want to rush the CSS profile, I want to make sure everything is right…

I wish there was a football team, too. I picked all my colleges by their football and/or basketball teams, but I LOVE Boston. BC was beautiful, but too uppity for me and BU has no structure. Northeastern has a really great science program and plus I am a Red Sox fan. And my friend’s brother goes there and he really likes it.

I want to go there because my brother goes there and for the co-op program. I think it would be good to enter the job market with over a year of experience and being fresh from college. Especially if the job market doesn’t make an improvement in 5 years.

And even though I wish they had a football team, their hockey team is good and better than their football team was.

I hate football but love hockey, so that’s a plus in my book. On the other hand, I don’t like the Red Sox at all - Go Cardinals!

I like the coop program, merit scholarships, and campus/facilities. Plus the hockey :)
