*Official EA Thread Class of 2015*

^Similar situation here, I’m a longtime Lakers fan and going to NEU would mean settling in in the heart of Celtic Nation. But NEU co-ops program is good for experience and getting a job in boston would be cool.

The main reasons I want to go are Boston, Music Industry major, co-op, and the campus. I also love how they keep updating their campus and buildings, the emphasis they put on study abroad and getting a world view of things, their pre-law track/advising, and I just generally felt at home on the campus. Also, I’ve always liked Huskies

There were little things I noticed that I really like when visited campus, too. I saw people in sweatshirts and jeans, and then other people in business suits or just more dressed up. I saw this shirt that said “10 Reasons My Kid Goes to Northeastern” and one of them was something like “Their SAT scores were too good for Harvard.” Stuff like that really drew me in, haha.

Go Cardinals!!! We are from Maine and not many of us up here. My D agreed with the Boston school comparision above for BC/BU and NU. Good luck to everyone!!!

Coming from Philadelphia, I’m having a hard time coming to grips with my daughter going to school in Red Sox country!!!

She is a legacy Phillies fan, despite living in Yankees/Mets territory now…it’s a great source of debate in our family whether or not living in Boston will transform her into a Red Sox fan!

It is hard to resist Red Sox Nation :-)

At least everybody is “red” haha…

Does anyone know how they will notfiy us? Is it a letter?

LOL yes - all red. Sigh. When we first went to Boston in November 2009 to visit schools, the Phillies were playing the Yankees in the World Series. We wandered around the city and went into the Cheers bar and downstairs in the ‘replica’ part, found a bartender wearing a Yankees hat! (and the Phillies were getting clobbered) it was weird. I thought it was illegal to be a Yankee fan in Boston.

Swehde - you will find out on your NEU web page. From what has happened in the past it seems you’ll get an email informing you that your decision is ready. Then you’ll try to log on anxiously for hours until you finally find out ;-)

^When I went to Boston a couple years ago to go to a camp at Berklee, the Yankees were playing the Sox. There was a guy walking around in Yankees gear, and these Sox fans said “Hey, a Yankees fan! Get him!” then they just hugged the Yankees guy.

In conclusion, that’s why I love Boston.

^lol, that’s pretty awesome.

Oh yeah! Go Cards!

Watch me ;)

I do think that living in Boston might transform me into a Bruins fan, but I could live with that.

@ MirandaKH i applied for music business too! good luck!

I never got an NEU account… I hope they received my application!

^You might want to call… they update the MyNEU account with stuff their missing or stuff they want to see. Pretty sure that’s where you go to see your decision as well.

Haha, thank you! Good luck to you too :)

I’m applying because I love Boston! I visited for a model un conference several times, and it was ah-mazing :3 Also, they offer AFROTC and the programs that I want. Win-win :D

Where will they post the decisions? on the application status check?

^I believe so. As far as I can tell, you get an email saying your decision is in, then you get to wait an hour for the page to load because of all of the traffic :D

^I think that hour might just kill me…

I’ll be here on notification day :stuck_out_tongue: But NU isn’t my first choice, to be honest.

Yes, I did email them. I checked through my email and I don’t have my official account number, but the NEU page does come up on my computer’s autosave, so I know I had gotten the letter. I just feel so silly not having the account number.
