Has anyone been notified of their decision yet? Im so sick of waiting!

I’m still waiting for my Decision. I got a Decision from BU a few days ago(I was accepted!!!) Now I’m waiting for Northeastern. These are my top 2 choices.

I received the email with the status check link and directions to set up but never received an email about setting up myneu account. Did I miss an email?

Shacoria - if you applied ED to BU, don’t you have to withdraw all other apps once you’re accepted?

@shaedow,
well you see that is part of the early decision agreement, however, I applied for financial aid and in that case then I am allowed to wait and see if other schools I applied to offer me better financial aid if BU does not offer me sufficient financial aid. BU has offered me aid but it includes a loan, not a large loan but still a loan nonetheless, and I would prefer not to have a loan. So I’m waiting to see if I get a merit scholarship from northeastern.

Where on the Northeastern app status check page will the decision be? I don’t see any location on their that looks like where the decision would be.

Does everyone’s page basically say this as of now

"Thank you for applying to Northeastern University, we are looking forward to reviewing your completed application. Please note the following information:

then it lists the required and received documents?

Yes.
No one has received a decision yet, stop worrying.
The trend has been mid December, around the 18th. Everyone will get their decisions basically at the same time, save a few hours difference.

^^yes, my application status page looks like that too.

Ahh looks like we’ll all have to wait another week or so to get the news!
Good luck to everyone!

Should be this Thursday. Three more days.

im freaking out! can someone check my chances?

“I applied for financial aid and in that case then I am allowed to wait and see if other schools I applied to offer me better financial aid if BU does not offer me sufficient financial aid.”

BU requires your ED deposit by Jan. 15; you must decide by then if the FA package offered is acceptable. You can wait for other EA decisions, but not for RD decisions.

How likely is it that we will hear from NEU on December 17th or 18th?

All this waiting is stressing me out. Congrats to everyone who gets in in advance! Celebratory coffee date with 2015 classsss, woot woot!

upcomingsenior, we already did, on that very thread.

@vossron,

right and the problem right now for me actually is the enrollment deposit. It’s 650 dollars. I don’t know if there’s any way I can afford to pay that so now I’ve been emailing the financial aid officer about some options. I’ve asked her if I can’t pay the deposit then will that make the ED agreement null and void. She hasn’t emailed back yet.

^ Ok, this has to be solved, but the next yes/no decision you have to make before Jan. 15 is about the entire four-year package: does it work for you? Is there anything preventing your making this decision now, assuming the deposit can be solved?

I was pretty confident before and now as it gets closer I am starting to freak out. I applied early. Anyone know of many people who applied to communications or how popular of a major it is? I really hope we find out Thursday! : )

@vossron,

assuming the deposit can be resolved then I will accept the financial aid offer. It is quite good(except for the loans). If the enrollment deposit issue can be resolved then I will definitely accept the offer
