Is EVERYone getting their decisions today?

deferred :/

also from MA
4.16 GPA, 1980 SAT’s

guess it was a lot tougher this year than i expected

@sop520 I’m pretty sure everyone is getting their decisions today. Last year they started coming in at 3PM and stopped at 10PM.

Well haven’t heard anyone get rejected yet, so that is good, I guess.

From PA… still awaiting decision. Based on the quality of people getting deferred, I fully expect to be deferred (or worst).

yeah but i think they only reject like 2% of early action applicants anyway

Yeah Im expecting to be deferred…

I don’t think anyone is going to be rejected unless you are in danger of not graduating… so everyone on here is safe…

I could totally be that 2% haha.

It’s sad how despite the fact that I’m sure all of us have worked so hard in high school, it’s not enough…society is so messed up. They stress the importance of college yet they make it near impossible to go to the college of your choice if its really competitive. I know it’s our own fault that we chose a competitive university, but you can’t help what you like :frowning: I’ve already cried in the fear of being deferred/rejected and this much stress/anxiety can’t be healthy.

Still nothing D: I’m in Connecticut.

Im gonna be honest with this post, and dont get angry, but I really didn’t work all that hard in high school. I had a great GPA, but I think that if you do what the teachers ask, which isnt much, your grades should be fine. I didn’t do too many ECs either, but what I did do was very unique and different, things that very very few people my age do. That’s what I think got me into this school.

@sop520 I completely agree. I personally think colleges should recruit top students like they do top athletes… But unfortunately, if you don’t play AP Sports, colleges don’t really pursue you.

Northeastern is one of a few schools I really like, but it’s the only one I hear from before February at the earliest, April for most. And the rest of my list is pretty much as or more competitive as/than NEU. So I’m kind of bugging :/

What interesting EC’s did you do Swimhockey? Other than swimming and hockey! LOL

From New York and have yet to hear, good luck everyone :D

relax…where you go to college will have little effect on your life

@thisisnotlindsey Exactly! And also got forbid you take high school classes while in high school, you have to take college ones. You have to go above and beyond and stress yourself out with work. I know that a lot of really intelligent people have been deferred, but I’m still gonna be REALLY upset if I get deferred, though I most likely will be =/

sop520- Don’t worry so much! I strongly believe that everyone will end up where they are supposed to end up! Once you submit your apps, there isn’t anything you can do anyway.
Besides if they don’t admit you, it’s their loss :)

Unfortunately for you swimhockey, proper grammar was not required at your school either - you can’t be “very unique”, only unique. There is no extent for “one of a kind.”
