I Got no scholarship and no financial aid even though I’m a triplet and have both siblings going to college is this normal?</p>

<p>Son accepted into honors, business school, 12k scholarship. 3.4 gpa at competitive private school, 2370 superscore, decent ECs. From Texas, no real hooks, but NMSF. He’s thrilled because this is his first choice and most likely where he’ll end up. What a nerve racking day! BTW, he got his email right around 9 p.m. Central.</p>

<p>@bubbles16: Deferred is not the same thing as being waitlisted. Those deferred EA will be competing with almost 30,000 RD applicants for the remaining spaces.</p>

<p>@bluetrav: If your son becomes an NMF and indicates NU as his first choice, that scholarship will likely rise to a full tuition scholarship.</p>

<p>Merit Scholarships count towards any need based aid- so if you’re being offered a merit scholarship, chances are you aren’t getting any additional need based aid- with or without the merit scholarship it would be the same amount. </p>

<p>Co-op will help you recoup a bit, but you’ll probably be spending a good chunk on housing during co-op.</p>

<p>To all those deferred, don’t give up hope, but they probably aren’t going to be as generous with acceptances this year as they’ve been in years prior. Last year they accepted far too many students, and I doubt they’ll make the same mistake this year.</p>
