Do you think it’s easier to get in NEU if you’re asian? I heard that it is mostly white people so would Asians have a better chance for diversity?

So coming from Missouri will help?

You guys can’t try to guess when you’ll find out based on your geographic location. I’m from the south, and I found out in the morning. It’s just a little random, so don’t stress about it.

Being from out-of-state will only help if you’re already a good applicant. It’s not like being from someplace other than New England will get a C student in and reject A students from Mass.

And yes, the majority of students are white. But you’d question whether or not asians were rare (and therefore were a hook to get in) if you saw my economics class.

wait, you found out already? did they email you?
I’m from California… waiting anxiously!

oh wait, just kidding. Read that last post wrong. My bad.

will be be notified by email? regular mail? or on the application status?

I’m so nervous for Thursday! I applied to Northeastern early on a whim after months of convincing myself I’d never get accepted. My gpa is below their average, but my SAT scores are above it, my extracurriculars are super awesome and I didn’t apply to a popular department so I guess we’ll have to see. Good luck, everyone!

^I’m in kind of the same boat as you, except I was planning on applying for awhile.

I kind of applied later because I got my scores up. I really want to get in!

I’m really hoping I get in too. Only a few days left now! I applied to 3 schools EA and all the decisions come out this week. I’m so nervous D:

You will get an e-mail letting you know you can access the applicant status check. Then in a while, you’ll also get snail mail.

Ahh I’m so nervous. I’ve always wanted to go to school in Boston. I hope Thursday gets here faster.

When would we get this email?

I want to get into Northeastern so badly also. This is the only college I did early action for and I’m crossing my fingers that I get in. I got an okay 3.88 gpa, 1810 sat, and have taken five AP classes and the rest honors, three of those AP classes being Psych, Lit, and Calc this year. Hopefully I get accepted here and then to BU in the Spring.

BU I think is my top decision, but only due to being the better Communications school. Northeastern definitely has the better internship program though (Co-Op). If I did get accepted and go to BU, it would be so awesome to get to go LA with their program.

You know what, THURSDAY NEEDS TO GET HERE SOON!!! (Well, if that truly is D-Day!)

Eric, same here I really like both Northeastern and BU.

Yea, well lets hope we get into both! I’m so anxious and this senioritis is killing me. LMAO I want to know that I was accepted to at least somewhere! :P

Same I hope we get into both! I found out from 3 so far and would like to make it 4!

3?! I should have applied early to more colleges! darn. But congrats!

I love NEU. But i’ve heard that the co-op for journalism students is not that good. Most of them are un-payed, and not that awesome…

I love the campus, and i’m applying for their journalism program. The co-op is not the reason why i’m applying, so the negatives of it don’t bother me so much.

Thanks man! Yeah applying early helps so much! Hopefully good news for us Thursday.
