Feel free to vent about northeastern, your chances, excitement, or whatevers on your mind. It seems like decisions s/b released between Dec. 13-20th (Sandy might make picking dates problematic). Can't wait & Good Luck to ALL!!!!

Per TomSrOfBoston:

In past years, on decision release day, emails are sent out to all EA applicants telling them that decisions are ready and provides a link to the NU account where you log in to view the decision. It is followed up with a snail mail letter.

Decisions are released over several hours moving from east to west throughout the country. Some applicants try to log into the system before receiving an email resulting in slow response times for all applicants. Also, the admissions office has to put extra staff on the phones that week to answer applicants questions as to when the decisions will be released. The answer you will get is "by December 31st." so it is useless to call them.

Not wanting to step on JuniorMint's toes; this EA thread should go dormant in a couple of weeks ...

I’M SO NERVOUS
i’m applying to the pharm program, and it’s my 2nd choice school with rutgers being my first. I’m scared i won’t get into either of them and would have to go to one of my matches/backups :’(

Junior Mint – My daughter has applied EA and I’m eagerly awaiting the results. It’ll be a long wait for the final word as we are in WA St also (coincidentally her SAT & PSAT scores are similar to yours). On the one hand you both should be shoe-ins but with over 45,000 potential applicants for 2017 you can’t count your chickens before they hatch. Oh well, there is always the UW and (hopefully) their honors program.

As you probably know from my posts, I am not the most confident applicant. I have taken only dual-enrollment classes so I do not have any APs. :(

However, your daughter and I should get a boost by dint of being Washingtonians, which makes us slightly unique in a pool of 20k+ students from the Northeast. Also, if she scored similarly on the PSAT, then I assume she also made NMSF. I think you can be cautiously optimistic.

Sounds like Thursday December 13 is becoming the most likely day for release of decisions.

From previous years: “notifications were received between 3PM-12AM EST … It went from Massachusetts, then up and down the East Coast and then West.”

The email only contains the link to the webiste, no other infromation. The website will indicate any merit aid and a tentative need based aid award.
