*Official EA Thread Class of 2017*

this wait is killing me, i feel like I am borderline to get accepted but this is my first choice. Hopefully the fact that im probably in the top two students to apply from my school and northeastern usually takes 4 or 5 I will be in a good position…never know though :/

I am so nervous. Whenever I think about Northeastern I get a huge pit in my stomach. My stats are a little low, but I absolutely love this school and I really don’t know what I am going to do if I don’t get in! I am trying to mentally prepare myself for the fact that I might not be accepted. I really hope they do post on Thursday, I don’t think I can wait any longer!

@PTgirl18

well you blow me out of the water -___-

GPA (unweighted): 3.8
SAT: 1870
School does not rank
Rigor: Advanced in science and math, only 2 AP’s, and about 3 college level courses
EC’s: Football 4 years, Track 2 years, wrestling 1 year. A few clubs and volunteer hours, but nothing special.

This is why I am extremely nervous :(

Will the page include information about the National Hispanic Recognition Program scholarship, if we included documentation about that already, or will that be awarded later?

@StopAtNothing

Our stats are practically the same besides the AP classes! Im hoping that even though our program is so competitive and they only take like 40 people, that not a lot of people apply to the program anyway. All we can hope is that the people applying to the 6 year DPT specifically have lower stats because those are the people we’re going up against. Where else did you apply!?

Having a really hard time waiting til Thursday. I like northeastern more than anyone else in my school. I’ve only a 3.47 (uw) and a 1910, but plenty of APs and ECs. Realy feeling on the wire

If you don’t get into the pharm program, are you automatically rejected from Northeastern all together?

My understanding is that NU have so many slots available that applicants are competing for. When those slots are filled they will either deny or defer the remaining applicants depending on how “competitive” their application is.

If you are deferred you might consider changing to a less competitive major if you want to increase your chance of acceptance.

Does anyone know what time they are supposed to come out on the east coast?

I’m thinking it’ll be from like 6 to 8 depending in where you are.

I know it’s a REALLY BAD idea to focus on U.S. News & World Report rankings (but here are the rankings anyway):

2013 56
2012 62
2011 69
2010 80
2008-2009 96
2007 98

Over the past six years, Northeastern has made the greatest leap in
the U.S. News & World Report ranking of any university.

So freaking scared. It’s my number one by miles.

In past years, the emails started going out around 3 PM on decision day. They moved from northeast to south to west. If you try and log in before getting the email, there will be no decision. You will only be contributing to the latency in the log in process for everyone else. If NU follows the schedule of past years, decision day should be this Thursday 12/13. But it may be next Thursday 12/20. No guarantees. If you call Admissions to ask when decision day is, you will be told “by December 31st”.

The decision will include any merit scholarships and a tentative amount of need based grants/loans. If you check the portal on your smartphone, you will need to scroll around to see the financial aid award link.

Also, last year on EA decision day, CC crashed for several hours. Not sure if NU applicants trying to report their decisions contributed to that.

I’m praying that the decisions come out tomorrow. I want the wait to be over with >.<

Same! Btw does anyone know if it’s ok if to put NE as my 1st choice for National Merit around February? I want to consider all of my options first.

Does anyone know the percentage of EA admitted/deferred/rejected? And or what time I should get the email in NJ?!

On decision release day, if you try and log into the portal in the morning, you will get the message that the portal is down. That means they are loading the decisions and emails will start coming out around 3 PM EST.

momo – You have time to way all your options. You can choose “undecided” if you want/need more time to make a decison. NMSC is very helpful in explaining your options as questions arise.

ahh i’m so scared. I don’t want to get rejected a day before my birthday -_- But im just as excited. I want this wait to end.

For those in NJ, people didn’t hear back until 9ish last year. But, it all depends on whether or not the system goes down or not. Hopefully not.

Also, does anyone know how competitive NEU’s pharm 0-6 program is compared to Rutgers (ernest mario)?

So am i the only one who can’t focus on anything else because all they can think about is Northeastern? sigh
