(official?) EA THREAD!

they usually shoot for like 55% male 45% female.

I think they accept 50/50? but in the end more males accept their offers of admission, or something. Eh.

Lol, I was quoting "A Chorus Line." But it does kinda apply.

That's possible...

If they accept 50/50 EA then us girls are in luck.

Is blatently not ashamed of using her gender to get in
I feel a little better now...

If I get in, I'm not attributing it to anything EXCEPT my gender.

I guess that shows how much pride I take in my work, eh?

Birthday countdown - just about 10 days

Pebbles, you've got to tell us what you want for your birthday on behalf of CC. We'll all chip in and get you something nice. :)

chuckles

Digital SLR!

~$800

Start saving up! ;)

lol in all honesty, all I want for christmas (and my bday) is...

MIT. =/

That's all I want for Christmas too. A deferral letter will be more of a stocking stuffer, right? :D

jerew: 1550, 800, 800, 690. Some independent research. Thinks more people should post there numbers.

Where numbers?!

Heheh. Numbers are just numbers... if they're above a certain level, then it's fine.

And only aceptance letters will be in Big Envelopes... so if you get a skinny one you have to go through the agony of opening it, not knowing if it's a rejection or a deferral.

Deferral is just about as painful as a rejection though =/

Don't...say...the...word...

But yeah. However, I watched one of my friends get waitlisted (at Columbia) and decide that he really, really, really wanted to go there, and at the last second, literally the last second, in late May, two days before graduation, he got into Columbia.
I'm not sure whether its made me more optomistic or pessimistic, because after all, it happened to him, but I think its a bit once in a lifetime. Question is, are the two events independent...

well its less skinny, and more small normal sized envelopes for rejections and deferrals, can anyone conjure up a few posts from last year? I remember that the acceptance envelopes were big (but maybe skinny) and had MIT and welcome or some sort on it.

Hey all, I'm new here

1600, 780, 740, 740. Some assistant work at Lawrence Berkeley Laboratories, and I might be getting recruited for water polo.

1570 800 800 800 (not like it matters), no, I haven't posted here since I think March, under a different user name

I'm excited. I didn't even apply EA! I'll probably be so cool once RD decision draws near because I've used up all my excitement on the EA round. :(

Good luck to all of you!

:(

We EAers will know our fate soon enough.
