Decision: Accepted SFS

Stats:[ul]
SAT: 1510/2230 (800 CR, 710 M, 720 W)
SAT IIs: 730 Math IIC, 770 U.S. History, 770 Chemistry, 800 World History
GPA: 3.95 UW
Rank: 2/366
Other stats: 5's on U.S. history, European history, biology, chemistry, calculus AB, calculus BC AP exams - should be adding five or six more exams to that by the end of this year?
[/ul][ b]Subjective:[ul]
Essays: The first one was about my instructor from the Center of Talented Youth, how he contributed to a general adoration of learning and all that can be accomplished with knowledge. The second one was about social unrest and economic disparity in the People's Republic of China.
Teacher Recs: I sent in three, and I think they were very good.
Counselor Rec: This one I'm not sure of, only because, at my school, one guidance counselor serves a quarter of the school's population and, thus, they can be quite impersonal. But I've bothered mine enough over the years, so I think this one was at least decent.
Hook (if any): I recorded myself playing the piano and sent that along with my application. I also attended a summer programme where I lived on the Georgetown campus for three weeks, but I'm not sure how much that mattered. I've scored Honors on the National Spanish Exam for many years in a row, and I can speak both English and Mandarin fluently.
