:::slams imaginary thread-door in disgust:::

Hey everyone…

I’m a white guy from North Carolina… applying ED OF COURSE!!! After all, Columbia is my DREAM. No seriously, I dream about Columbia frequently… haha. I’m super OBSESSED with Columbia. I read tons of Columbia blogs, and have pored over every page of Columbia websites, promotional materials, EVERYTHING. Pray for me Best of luck to everyone, I hope everyone who is as crazy about Columbia as I am gets in!!

Provided I get in, I’ll be majoring in Economics with a minor in East Asian Studies (I want to learn Korean!)

Here’s a story for you all: today in math class my (crazy) teacher was asking if anything was going on Friday because he wanted to schedule the test on that day. I told him there was a Columbia rep visit during that period, so he may want to move the test to Thursday or Monday because I was sure a lot of people in the class may want to go. He then went on a rant that lasted the entire period about how Columbia is THE most overrated school in the entire United States.

Needless to say, the test won’t be moved, but I am taking it on Thursday anyway so I can go to the rep visit. I STILL LOVE COLUMBIA!!!

I like this thread because it’s so fun seeing all the other people who love Columbia too! Still waiting on that interview, I reaaaallly want one soon the “why columbia” character limit is really giving me some trouble but I’m hoping to submit part two within the week!

Good luck to every Columbia EDers!
I am an international student applying to environmental science and political science. And not apply for aid.

2 questions though, IF I get in, Can I Apply for financial aid if my status changes to permanent resident in like my second year?
Can I reject the ED admission offer because of lack of fin aid?

MLELS what time is the Columbia rep visiting ur school? They’re visiting my school that same day.

So scared, but its looking life this is the path that life is leading me towards. ED2014 here I come.

Hahahaha golfer3, it would be creepy if I knew you. 11:15.

yeah, our rep. is at 10. haha

Who’s submitted everything?

My transcripts are being sent out this week-ish.

I haven’t submitted everything. So for us ED-ers, our first semester grades aren’t even seen before decisions are made? Hm.

AH IT’S SO EXCITING TO MEET YOU GUYS.

i’m chinese from new hampshire from tennessee from china

Does anyone read the bwog?!?!

Hey everyone, I’m an asian american from NJ and I’m going to be applying to Columbia College for an Economics Degree. Got all my recommendations done and even the interview completed. Just going to wait for my October SAT scores to come out before I send everything in.

Do you guys know how significant teacher recommendations are to Columbia College?

This is what it says on CU’s website:
Recommendations - which provide evidence of intellectual curiosity and promise, classroom and school and community participation, and overall potential for the candidate to make an impact at Columbia, in the classroom and beyond

By the way, hi everyone. My name is Monica and I’m doing ED too. I’m in the process of revising my essay and then I’ll submit everything! I’m so nervous.

I’m thinking of making a Columbia University Class of 2014 hopefuls Facebook page. I’ll probably make it tomorrow or Tuesday. You guys should be game to join!

^I disagree. Imagine not getting in and being in a group called that. It would be odd when you end up going to another college.

Why yes I do! And I also frequent WikiCU
