My grades for this quarter have slipped because all I’ve been doing is working on the Columbia app. I thought this was okay because I had time to worry about my semester grades before I sent them in. I just looked at the Mid-Year School Report and it says please send in quarter grades for ED applicants. Is this a request or demand?

it is a most certain necessary inelastic demand ;)

^ Hah I see IB is getting to you.

hey all- I took APs last year with good scores, so I’m sending in an official AP score report, and I’m wondering if it would come across as obnoxious if I added this information to the additional information section.

I was just thinking of saying, really briefly, AP scores to date: etc etc. Good idea or not?

@bonsto: I listed them under additional information but for a separate reason (mismatch of names between my application and SAT score records). I don’t think it’ll be a problem however. Go for it.

Hello fellow Columbia ED applicants.
If I sent all my SAT I and II scores in June by filling out Columbia as a recipient, do I need to resend them? I thought no but emailed Columbia about it a few days ago and they said I need to resend them. I’ll do that through collegeboard tonight but I really don’t see the logic in this requirement (ok, maybe I’m just bitter that my scores won’t arrive on time now). Could they possibly have misunderstood my question?

They almost certainly did misinterpret you (either that, or you weren’t clear).

I’ve sent scores to my other schools way back in February and they can be traced.

Hey guys! I have a quick question… if I am taking the November SATS (which Columbia accepts ED) do I need to wait to send my score report until November? And if so, where on the application can I put down that I am taking them in November?

Has everyone submitted everything yet?

I just realized that for ED we had to send in first trimester grades. I haven’t. If I have it postmarked by Nov 2 its ok right?

Okay, if I put “fee waiver requested” but can’t get one, can I still pay the fee in Part 2?

where is everyone from?

@msqt91092: Yes, Nov 2 is a postmark deadline.

@Obstinate: Your best bet is to call the admissions office.

@columni: Singapore

What if my first quarter grades come after the deadline? I’m allowed to send them as soon as they arrive, right? They come out around November 15th.

wait we need 1st quarter grades…?

First quarter/first trimester grades for ED.
