OFFICIAL Early Response Applicants Thread (UMich Class of 2014)

@ kiruyama:
No need to worry about preferred admit if you want to major in EE. All you have to do is apply to the engineering school :)

Hello, instate student attending a public high school in the metro detroit area.
Will be done applying hopefully by the end of september to LSA.

U of M won’t start reviewing your app until they receive all transcripts, recommendations, and test scores right? I’m now debating whether I should just submit my app now or wait a little until late september. If I wait, I’ll be able to go over it with my counselor, and make sure everything is correct.

Hey, I’m in city (haha), applying within the next month to LSA. Only have essay editing, counselor rec, and transcript to go. Good luck everyone! :)

I’m currently waiting for my transcript and my recommendations to get there.

Does anyone happen to know where I can check if these documents have been recieved by UMich?

^^Grintismint. Huron or Pioneer? =P
In-city as well. Woooo you guys will honestly love Ann Arbor. Best luck to you all!

My transcripts are making a slow transit halfway across the world. It isn’t a positive feeling.

:(

north carolina resident, public school in competitive district, applying to LS&A undecided.

yosup, i’m almost postive they won’t even glance at your app without those materials. supplemental things, ie an extra teacher rec won’t delay anything though. so don’t rush it in not completed. it’s not really worth it.

and me:
Michigan resident from a private school in the Metro Detroit area. I plan to have everything done within the next week, but they won’t receive will be my highest ACT scores until the 24th of September (I think) so I’ll have it in by then. I’m applying to LS&A as a communications major.

srrinath: i think you can check 15 days after you send them, maybe a bit longer from overseas. good luck! if you have your umich id, you can look it up that way on the website.

In any case, I’m hoping to get them all in by late September. And yeah I’m international. Makes things worse.

thanks jojo. I have 1 more question. I’m sending in my app on September 16th. When will I be able to log on WA? I know it says in 15 days, but is it normally less than this?

Also, could you guys please tell me when you submitted the app (the date you physically hit the submit button) and tell me the “date received” on WA? I’m really curious, thanks!

It’s less than that. I submitted my app on either the 1st or the 2nd of September and I was able to log into WA by the weekend after.

tetrisfan from India. Submitting my app hopefully at the start of October!

Submitted everything officially. Wooohoooo
