Official ED and Regular Admission Rates

Please, but no more speculations:

Early Decision:
CMC received 418 early decision applicants of which 147 were accepted for an early admit rate of 35%.

Regular:
This year, the Office of Admissions received 4,481 total applications, of which we accepted 619 students. Compared with last year’s 4,264 total applications and 732 admitted students, the admission rate dropped a considerable 3.4 percentage points from 17.2% in 2010 to 13.8% in 2011.

According to these stats, if you want to go to CMC, you should apply ED.

False conclusion, parent 57. According to these stats, CMC gets better applicants in its ED applicant pool. That phenomenon is very typical for highly selective Ivies and national liberal arts colleges.

Wow, if I knew that the admission rate was going to be 13.8% I probably would have been much more nervous during the application process… That’s roughly 2 students out of 15 being accepted I think… Not the best odds haha.

I have an unweighted GPA of 3.5, weighted of 4.1. ACT of 33. A couple of 5s on APs. Solid ECs but nothing earth shattering.

Any hope?
