…and get stares from people passing by?

I’ve taken up mailbox watching.
it’s actually a competitive sport, what with my icy driveway now and the cold.
Most days I’m more afraid that I’ll drive home and get out to check the mail, see the letter, freak out, drive absurdly quickly into the garage, crash my car, and end up in traction.
Happy.
But in Traction.
Good plan? Or should I be walking down to check the mail from now on.

I AM SOOO NERVOUS!
I seriously can’t even do my homework now that somebody has gotten accepted to the school of their choice! I am never going to leave my mailbox!

Hey, I didn’t apply ED (applying RD), but a girl from my school got into CAS today, she applied ED. We’re up in Connecticut. The weird thing is that she is the only one…there are two other kids who have applied ED, and they haven’t gotten anything…? Then again, they were both Stern…They’re really freaking out, not sure why the one girl got her acceptance so early

Don’t know whether it was mail or e-mail
All I’m going off is what she told me (but she’s not the type to lie, especially about something like this)
I’ll try to find out how she found out

Good luck to everyone!

Hey
Wee got any one who applied ED to Tisch for Photo?
Im freakiing out because my SATs were meh and my GPA isnt fantastic because of some crappy grades fresh and soph year + damn math last year. AHHHHHH, the wait is killer here hope they value my portfolio more than academics

admitted LSP today… it’s the 8th, but the letter is dated the 9th. weird!

quick chance please? applied to CAS

gpa - 3.36uw (88.6) 3.78w(92.8)
sat 1’s (superscore) - 2130
sat 2’s - 620 us 670math2

phenomenal essays, thorough revision, months to write
national debator, trumpet (performed at carnegie, lincoln center, 3rd chair)
6 years piano, lots of volunteer, 2 jobs, internship

chances for cas and lsp? I didn’t know I’d have to wait another week for NYU so I figured if my chances were low, I’d take a lot of time off of school work and apply to like 10 other colleges…if my chances are high… I guess I’ll take it a bit easier

LSP’d today!!! :))))

I’m not applying to NYU but my friends(twins) got acceptance letters yesterday. We live in NY, not too far from the city. Hope this helps.

Non-LSP acceptances?

From the Admissions Office Web Site:

The majority of admissions decisions for Early Decision applicants will be mailed toward the end of the week of December 7th. (Please note that we said “the majority” and not “all.”) Most of the remaining decisions will be in the mail by the end of the following week.

For Regular Decision freshman applicants, the freshman application deadline - January 1, 2010 - is fast approaching. Remember that December is a short month, for you, for your high school, and for us. Be sure to follow your school’s policies to have your transcripts and recommendations processed and forwarded to NYU before the holidays begin. We urge you not to wait until the last minute to do so. All sorts of things can go wrong if you wait - snow storms, school closings, hard drive failure, all sorts of things. SO, why not get everything done early in the month, rather than later?

New York University, including the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, will close for the holidays at 4:00 on Wednesday, December 23rd. We will re-open on Monday, January 4, 2010. During this period the “Forum” feature of our web site will be closed down, as there will not be anyone at our end to respond to questions.

OMGGG. people have started getting their letters? thats crazy.
I applied to NYU Tisch for Photography & Imaging.

My grades and such are really good so I’m hoping that because I didn’t get moved to the LSP, I got accepted to Tisch!!

@photographylife I don’t think that Tisch applicants can be LSP’d anymore. I’m not 100%, but I’m pretty sure that the only schools that can LSP are CAS, Gallatin, and Steinhardt.
Good luck!!!

Are you sure? I thought that NYU said they could LSP Tisch Film applicants???

Yeah, Tich Film students can be lsp’d. to my knowledge, not photography students though.

grats stohare!

Photographylife, what did your portfolio look like?

oh my freakin god! GOOD JOB STOHARE!!! ahh im so freakin happy for u lmao do u know what this means?! it means i still have a chance lol ahhh im so glad u got in lol wow ur so lucky.

it would really suck for me not to get in. after following these threads around for hours and stayin up late nights doing hw cuz i wasted time on here lol man nuthin in the mail…hopin my parents didnt hide it lol

[Portfolio - a set on Flickr](http://www.■■■■■■■■■■/photos/x_inspiration_x/sets/72157622392007407/)

that was the portfolio i sent in for nyu.
however, after i looked at what others had done who were in nyu tisch currently, i noticed that my photography is completely different so i’m betting on a rejection letter.

OMG my friend just got a call from Stern saying he got in. I didn’t really believe him but it was legit (he showed me the phone # at work, etc etc). Let’s just say it would’ve been a REALLY elaborate lie for him to conduct, while at work. I AM SO FREAKIN ANXIOUS ITS KILLING ME.

But he mentioned something that might make some sense. They said he was a canidate for Abu Dhabi. Did any else check off that they were interested? Maybe thats the prerequisite for getting a phone call instead of mail??? Idk. But seriously, I am so freaked out right now its not even funny.
