Official ED Thread Class of 2014!

Apparently rejection and acceptance letters are sent out at the same time (at least thats what the nyu admissions office told me when i called)

@sleeping grunt

“historically” (aka, from the RD round i was on CC for a few months ago), the rejections came later than acceptances. so it was like. . .

wave of acceptances!
nothing.
panic setting in on CC.
wave of acceptances AND rejections.
nothing.
more panic.
wave of rejections AND a few acceptances.
max level of panic.
the rest were rejections.

i suspect ED won’t be much different, just on a smaller scale.

PANIC

I sense a rejection in the mail…

i’m already accepting it, i’m going to get rejected. its done

This is my first post, but I had to tell you that your photos are gorgeous. You should end up in some wonderful art school and eventually gallery.

yeah…sjphotob or whatever, your photos were great. i agree @annwexler

has any US citizens living international heard back for either LSP or CAS yet?

You guys brighten my day. BTW, @missamericanpie, I turned in a paper last week that was worth 40% of my final grade. But I suppose that’s what I get for going to an insanely difficult highschool. Of course my paper wasn’t twenty pages long. Anyway, you have my sympathies.

Anyone here Tisch Drama, MT studio?

And question for everyone: I come from FL and the state has a law that for ALL FL colleges, there’s a minimum SAT score for each section you need (let’s say 500), if you don’t have it, you will get denied, no matter how good your audition was or how impressive your gpa is. So now I’m really concerned…does the state of NY have this law?
If a crappy school in FL could reject me for one stupid law, how do I even think I could have a chance at NYU?

Yeah. If you don’t have a 600 in each section, you can’t apply to any school in New York.

…seriously?

No. I was answering as seriously as he asked the question.

There is no such law in New York. The inner city kids help keep the standards nice and low.

…LOL. How very politically incorrect.

You think the nice folks over at NYU admissions check this forum and screw with us by playing around with when they send the decisions, choosing to send it when we least expect it?

No, but I know our school blog totally knows about this forum.

[College Confidential is a Source of Hilarity as Acceptance Day Nears | NYU Local](http://nyulocal.com/on-campus/2009/03/24/college-confidential-is-a-source-of-hilarity-as-acceptance-day-nears/)

Sometimes, this forum truly is hilarious.

Also, aren’t you crazy high schoolers supposed to be in class right now? How are you guys updating this early in the day?

Well, we have our ways, from iPod touches to boring classes to ‘taking notes’ to time differences :D

After CC, Facebook becomes overrated.

Lol, that’s what I usually do during the day. Touche.

I’m refreshing my email inbox with extreme prejudice.

Don’t you have classes IN COLLEGE?

Psh. I’m still in bed on my phone. School is for losers.

I don’t have class until 12:30 today.

And next semester, I rigged it so I have two 3 hour seminars. So I only have class two days a week. Woo hoo!

And they said college is harder than high school. What socialist lies!
