collegereally?
I’m a Chinese living in Canada lol.
btw, I’m not LSPed (sigh maybe I’ve been rejected);I only know the answer to one of ur questions: LSP is not binding…
Did you get into LSP? Wow!!

@sostressed589
exactly…I became permisstic after reading other people’s chance threads. GL to you!

My daughter’s stats are average too, and I hope they will take the time to see her for more than just her grades. Good luck everyone!

My friend called NYU today. They said that they are sending the letters out in alphabetical order so that it doesnt get too messy. His last name starts with N and they said they were sending it out tomorrow.

is your friend sure? i called them today and they said they mailed them in “batches” and that I’ll receive mine probably towards the end of next week

WHAT! My last name starts with a W.
I will go crazy if there is no letter by Tuesday.

Just spoke with a student ambassador. Its done in random batches. It all depends into which batch you fall in between now and the end of next week. So if you were an early batcher you probably will hear back tuesday. If not then probably later within the next week.

Awwww man, you mean we aren’t getting them this week?

I mean unless they sent out some earlier in the week then probably not. Since they mailed out today it would arrive on the 15th just as planned…Tmrw in Post…Saturday in Post…Sunday No Mail…Monday in Post…and Arrrives on Tuesday the 15th in your mailbox.

SO that means all the LSPs were scheduled for last week and this week and they’re just cleaning house?

yep Im assuming…but In the past there were students who were still receving LSP letters just a bit late…So anything can happen. IF they did send some letters out let say yesterday or something and didnt tell us then the EARLIEST kids should be hearing back should be Saturday. But who knows.

would location help? I live on Long island, 45 minutes from NYC. Would I get mine earlier?

^ 3 days is 3 Days partna I dont think it matters where you live.

organic1992: lol don’t worry. even if the news is true u will still receive mail wayy before I do. My last name starts with Z and first name Y…-_-|||

so we’re sure that they’re sending them alphabetically?

two people from my school just got into duke and cornell, this makes me extra nervous. if i dont get news by the end of next week, it will be hopelessness all over the place.

no, they’re not sending them alphebetically. they’re sending them in random batches. at least thats what j.m.j was told.

Also, i was going through last years facebook group (seriously, i have so much anxiety O_O) and they mentioned that if their letters didn’t come by the 16th, they could call the admissions office to find out. Is that still true for 2014?? I might call admissions tomorrow and ask them about that. Unless someone wants to post it on the NYU forum :D…or, of course, unless someone knows the answer.

well idk the answer, but you should definitely call! and let us know :)

It seems like NYU likes to keep us hanging because they have told some of us that it’s by alphabetical order and others by random batches. UGH

Letters are being sent out tomorrow, but most people won’t be getting them until next week. They will be sent out late tomorrow, and the post office won’t be able to process them until saturday. No mail delivery on sunday means monday is the best bet for most people.

BUT IT DOESN’T MATTER FOR ME BECAUSE I GOT A CALL FROM NYU TODAY AROUND 6:00
I am a finalist for NYU Abu Dhabi, and so NYU called me to tell me I was accepted to CAS ED. I am on top of the world right now, and wish you guys all the best in your acceptances the next couple of days. I lurked this thread for the past two weeks non-stop, and so this is my way of giving back (I think :))
