Nice to know there are girls out there who’re interested in CS! I don’t have particularly strong ECs, but I definitely nailed my school works. Did you apply to ED2? I guess the receipt letter would take a while when you live in overseas… I’m sure you are gonna be fine if you are already a great programmer! Wish you good luck, too!! : D

And additional congratulations for the accepted people! I’m still waiting on mine… It’s even harder now to concentrate on school life when I know my decision is already hanging out there somewhere xD

No, it does not say that the letter has been sent yet.

But I figure there are only three possible days left to receive it before the decisions come online on the 15th: today’s mail, tomorrow’s, or Monday’s.

So I’m hoping it was sent out and just not put online yet.

@kyxlauren:
i applied for RD, but already submitted all the apps late November. so my decision is still a long time coming =( haha yeah, girl programmer is so scarce… i’ve had around three months training camp as the only girl around. i think the IOI has only like 3 girls in 2006 or 2007. so far, i really enjoy the experience though, it’s fun to ‘stand out’ among the crowd, after all :D

congrats for those who’ve been accepted! CMU is such a great school, you should be very happy :D

did it say chemical engineering specifically? I got accepted to CIT, but it didn’t say anything about whether i got into ECE or not, which is what I applied to.

Back when I did the CMU applications (uhh…like eight years ago as of now) everyone was admitted into CIT as Undecided Engineering with a note on if ECE was restricted for you or not. For example, I applied saying I wanted to major in Materials Science & Engineering, but was admitted as Undecided with ECE as unrestricted.

@sprevite : I don’t know if I’m the right person to give anyone any advice, since it’s not like i’m accepted or anything… You could probably get a lot of good advice if you start a new post, cuz there are a lot of nice people here! Hope for the best whatever you decide to do : )

Uh, my process page doesn’t even say anything about the decision letter. I was hoping to get the mail before I check the decision online, but I guess I have to do the latter now. Does anyone know about the exact time they post the decisions based on the past years?

my “where am i” page didn’t say anything new until the day I actually got my letter, and then i looked at it, and it said that i was accepted and that the letter went out the 6th. It seemed like they hadn’t bothered to update it until they actually posted the decision. So don’t be discouraged if it doesn’t say the letter has been mailed yet. It could be sitting in your mailbox.

My where am i in the process wasn’t updated until the decision was online either. The page said it was sent on the 6th and the letter was postmarked on the 9th.
