Haha, I'm thinking they mailed acceptances before rejections so I'm betting I got rejected... oh well got into Hopkins and Cornell but I would have really liked to get into Emory too!

I visited the campus during the summer of 2005 and also attended local information sessions.

I visited November 2004 and last week for the Emory Scholar Weekend

I visited in June 2005 and attended 3 local info sessions. But then again, for ED, demonstrated interest wasn't nearly as much as a factor since pretty much every applicant visited and simply applying ED demonstrates immense interest within itself.

em, i don't know.haven't gotten my letter yet

ahhhhh!!! has anyone in the northeast gotten their letters (massachusetts)? i haven't gotten mine yet and now i'm getting very paranoid.

those who got it, was it a big envelope or a normal sized one??

We live in New England and my D apparently got her letter today. She is not home and I am at work but my 13 year old son, who has gotten adept at sizing up the envelopes, reports it is thick and feels like a CD might be in it. Now we wait for her to come home - this is the last college. Good luck to all.

why you think you were accepted/rejected/defered: i'm honestly quite surprised (my track record is not too good) b/c my gpa isn't that high but I bet my SATs scores helped as well (which is good, since i took them three times to raise my math score!!) and the fact that my high school is incredibly demanding. i didn't visit either so i was worried...

the envelope was not very big, although bigger than a standard envelope, and there is a CD in it... good luck!

son acceptance came in mail today. did not visit campus. but will now. What is better the 'open house' or the 'Day Visit' - anyone know. He also found out he was rejected at USC. Go figure.

i would suggest you go on the open house days because the day visits are just your standard tour and info session while the open house offers a bit more (talking to profs, meeting current students, etc).
