Um...I still haven't received a decision. Is anyone else from Texas and has not received a letter?

I'm also in WashU, CMU, U of Mich, NYU, and JHU but I'm going emory next year. EMORY 2010 !!

elizabeth2005... those stats are from last year... Emory hasn't released stats for the 2006 incoming class.

pdesai06: I'm from texas and I got mine last saturday (the 1st)

I am from El Paso, TX and I still haven't gotten mine.

What is Emory's mascot?

The official one is Swoop, an eagle. But the much more loved (unofficial) mascot is Dooley, a skelton. You can read about him here - http://www.college.emory.edu/current/support/fame/dooley.html or in more detail here - http://www.emory.edu/EMORY_MAGAZINE/winter2000/cover.html

Or actually, this is probabley the best explanation -

"Traditions at Emory include Dooley, the "Spirit of Emory" and the unofficial mascot of the university. Dooley is a skeleton and is usually dressed in black. He originated as a specimen skeleton in a biology lab in 1899. The name "Dooley" was given in 1909. He adopts the first name and middle initial of the University's current president. He typically walks very slowly with an exaggerated limp, which, legend has it, he got playing handball with Robert Woodruff's daughter. Each year in the spring, Dooley roams Emory's campus with a team of bodyguards and lets students out of class with an unscheduled appearance in their classrooms. Dooley's current full name is James W. Dooley."
