Extracurriculars: Student Council President, Youth Advisory Committee President (VP junior year), NHS, bunch of varsity sports (Co-captain of Varisty Tennis team), etc.

Why I think I was accepted/rejected/waitlisted: Not entirely sure...as you can see from my test scores, they're not amazing, nor is my GPA when compared to everyone on these boards. I think what may have helped is that I have a couple major leadership roles. I didn't visit, but when checking the whole interest in Emory section, I listed last years Student Union President of Emory (David Ader) and his brother. They both went to my high school and knew them b/c of my sister. Maybe that helped a little?

Other thoughts: I had only taken the ACT once, and was going to toss my test scores out right after i had taken the English (first section) because I didn't know what to expect and paced myself very badly. But after the other sections, I did well. So I ended up with a 22 English (ouch, essay bumped it to a 23 though), 30 Math, 32 Reading, 32 Science.
