General Comments/Congratulations/Venting/Commiserations, etc:
See you guys in August!

no, i stand by comment, i apologize if it came across as rude, b/c that was not my motive, however, what i wanted to show was that anything is possible, and I DO know a plethora of students that are by no means that bright that are emory students today. And yes, having these students at emory does color my views of Emory.

believe it or not, u will find this at a lot of schools. how much fun would u have at a school filled with nerds (ie mit)? even ivies nowadays are trying to balance out classes with people who have gifts in areas other then just hardcore academics.

two of my friends are at princeton and they expected it to be nerdy and intellectual and its more like a country club. Same thing with vanderbilt and although I admit the stoner of the class got into Emory I'm sure there is a mix of people.

I really don't want to turn this thread away from it's original purpose (congrats to all you acceptees), but when responding to foryourenjoyment, it's probably not a good idea to bash other schools ie MIT (since you are taking offense to he/she bashing your school). Personally, I know 2 people who go to MIT and I would hardly call them nerds.

In general, MIT, as an engineering school probably has a larger % of nerds, but they also have one of the top ranked buisness schools in the country. I just think it's unfair to call it a nerd school.
