@sat100 I think it’s fine. I’m turning mine in after I take my midterms and get the grades … It’s not MANDATORY to turn in but recommended I believe.

March 15th is the priority deadline.

And also, SAT100, to answer your question regarding the Midterm Report, when I called Emory early February, they told me to submit whatever grades I had by the end of February because I hadn’t taken my midterms by then either.

But then again, that’s for the priority deadline. The regular deadline is May 1st.

To respond to your comment Transfer 20I3, the Midterm Report is required according to their website:

[Transfer Students | Emory College of Arts and Sciences Admission](Transfer Applicants | Emory University | Atlanta GA)

I’m applying as a junior transfer. Has anyone waived their high school transcript, SAT scores, and ACT scores? I’ve been at my current community college for more than 2 years and I’ve completed more than 50 credits. I sent my college transcript in February, but these 3 items are still showing up as “initiated” on my to-do list.

@esai Thanks for the info. I applied for the priority deadline, so I am going to hurry up and turn in the midterm report as quick as possible.

Also, esai, are you sure the person at Emory said 1st week of April? Just making sure, because that is less than 2 weeks away.

@Ashley3291

My High school transcripts said “Initiated” a few days ago as well, but when I spoke to the admissions representative, she said that it most likely has not been reviewed. And two days ago, it said completed.

However, what I would do is call Emory’s admission office and ask about your admission in particular.

They will ask for your full name, and they will have a list of what you have submitted.

@SAT100

No problem buddy.

Also, that person (admissions representative) might be wrong. That’s what she said, but the website says April 26th, so I would go with what the website says.

I think you’ll be fine since it’s the Mid Term report you’re missing, which isn’t that big of a deal considering that you’ve already submitted your transcripts and everything else.

So no worries! :)

@esai23

Thanks! I just called admissions and they said to give it another week and, if it’s still there after a week, to call back. :/

@Ashley3291

No problem! I’m glad it worked out for you.

Update:

I called Emory and they told me that April 26th will be the earliest that we will come to know of our admission decision.

Ohhhhh so nervous right now. I was just rejected by WUSTL. Too fast to get their decision! I just turned in my app on Mar 15th.

I heard we would find out results by May 1st? I hope we can all get in!

The midterm report isn’t required for everyone. The website clearly says if you have less than 30 credits, then it is required

One more month to wait!

Man I am getting really discouraged, I have a 3.5 GPA while everyone on here seems to be perfect 4.0’s…

^^ Haha I’m sure you’ll do fine … I’m just rethinking my app because (even with 4.0) I might have to go to Emory for a year AND THEN transfer into Goizueta Business School rather than just going right into it … =[

Did you want to just go straight to Business school?

^ Well I mean I took classes that were for USC Articulation so I have 69 units at the end of the semester, like Business Calc, Fin and Man Accounting, Micro and Macro Econ, Business Law, English Comp and Argumentation Critical Thinking, and other cultural, language, science and what not general education. Also with a 4.0 GPA I was hoping to somehow get excluded from taking classes at Emory and instead go straight in or at minimum 1 semester then transfer in … I don’t see a point in going to Emory if I don’t get into Goizueta. I already got into Pepperdine almost free ride and I’m sure I’ll get into USC Marshall and transfer into USC Leventhal after a semester (keeping my fingers crossed). Although I’m kind of iffy about Boston College CSOM …

@SAT100

hye my friend im glad to see u on this forum as well!

@all

hi all, i applied to emory as a transfer and international student who is living in the states now.
i called them so many times and asked them if mid-term report is required, and they said “yes.”
so don’t stick with the information on their website. There are too many wrong information there. I got almst furious and yelled at them.
i love the school itself, but hate people in admission. They are too rude

Did anyone else get a Final semester college transcript due May 1 put onto their to-do list? We don’t take final exams until around early May so I don’t think I will have my transcript ready by then.

^ hmm that might be a good thing cause I don’t have anything on my to-do list … maybe its kind of like the SGR?

Sounds like a positive sign. Maybe you are really likely to get accepted?
