@ Toofast - Yes it is for the Priority Deadline. Maybe you might want to phone them up to ask about your application and see where it falls under?

@ emersongarcia - Emory is my top choice! I only applied for 2 colleges. Emory and a university in Alabama.

I already got accepted into a university in Alabama but I really want to go to Emory because of their wonderful BBA program, prestige, diversity, and everything!!!

DOOD this is bullcrap ! WHY DID YOU GUYS APPLY AS PRIORITY ? Yall should’ve just been patient and applied as regular so I could get my decision today … I’m blaming this on YOU guys >=[ … lol jk but really this does suck, it messes up my plan with enrollment deposit deadline for Pepperdine on MAY 1st … if I got in I was going to use Emory as my safety school … Oh well I wish the best of luck to all of you … I guess we will be notified via email and OPUS on wed … sigh … I’m pretty sure many of you were excited as I was being that it was the beginning of a weekend too … =T oh well GL! FIGHTING !

@toofast I think my stuff got in late … well my transcripts that is but they were all post marked before March 15th so as long as they are ALL post marked I guess it doesn’t matter… all of the schools I applied to, my files got either misplaced or arrived late but due to the post mark they couldn’t say anything … admissions fault =]

It will probably be earlier than the 1st. In the email it said “by May 1st”, which means that there is a chance that decisions will be out before May 1st.

@esai23: Well, I hope you get accepted to Emory. It’s a great place to study. I’m hoping to take advantage of their great medicine research opportunities. I really don’t know what I would do without CC. This has been my go-to place to vent.

@sat100: way to apply those critical reading skills. definitely does say “by may 1st.” here’s to hoping this weekend gets exponentially better for all of us.

@emergsongarcia I lived in GA ATL area for about 3 years a while ago, but while I was there all I ever heard was how amazing Emory is with hooking up Med students and what not, specially because the CDC is there probably.

@ transfer: good point. research opportunities at the cdc would make emory a nationwide hotspot for attracting elite medical minds. i haven’t been to atlanta in years, so i’m not too sure how the areas around emory have changed and/or evolved. have any insight?

I moved back to cali 6 years ago so LOL NOPE ! but I do know Emory gets many funding from Coca Cola as well which makes Emory a really good School for Med and Business … too bad business majors have to stay another year -_-" … but ya the opportunities with the CDC are endless so I’ve heard … alot of my friends go to UGA GA TECH or Alabama so I don’t really know how much Emory has changed either.

side note: it appears as though admission to college is becoming increasingly competitive! so many overqualified students for so few spots. i know – not an astute observation.

Lmao @ emersongarcia … thx for crushing our already struggling hopes and aspirations! … I swear I wish I stopped hoping I receive a decision before May 1st … IM NOT SPECIAL GOD DAMMIT BE PATIENT ! =[

@transfer: haha sorry about that. I keep thinking that we’ll magically hear something. In fact, it’s gotten to the point where I woke up at 1:40 in the morning to check. “Maybe they released their decisions tonight,” I said to myself as I groggily dragged myself up to my desk. Nothing. ***. Whoever said patience is a virtue mustn’t have applied to college!
