<p>If you're talking about those "your scores are competitive" letters, pretty much everybody gets those.</p>

<p>In years past, if an applicant to Emory Scholars Program is named a semi-finalist (usually in late January), that candidate is concurrently offered admission to Emory as well (assuming applying RD or ED II; for ED I, admission notification will have already occurred on Dec. 15). </p>
<p>All semi-finalists will then wait until late February to find out whether they have been named finalists.</p>
<p>Hm, it seems as if those who apply ED generally have less of a chance to be Emory scholar…</p>
