Just submitted my main application. Missing some stuff but excited to get the ball rolling!
I’ve been working on my application since the semester started. Do you know if Emory takes recommendations from TA’s? The office site states that all we need is a member from the faculty, but I am uncertain if a Graduate Teaching Assistant applies to this requirement.
@ironkun I did a TA, I think if you’re a freshman it’s fine
This thread isn’t as active. Anyhow, did you guys receive an email saying that decisions will be slightly delayed?
@thelegitbrian I received the email. However, the decision times (on or before May 1st) do not seem that delayed. I think a good number of schools still roll decisions through May.
yo why is this thread so small??? wow
SHOOK and also hello, imma jump on here as well
15 more days to go! Last year they released decisions late April, but I feel like this year it’s going to be May 1st (or closer to it).
In the email I got it said decisions would be out May 1st.
@FarmerBoi oh, when did you get the email? I didn’t get one
@collegeIZrubbish I received an email with this information late March in the Transfer Update. It stated that decisions would be out “on or before May 1st”
If Emory is rolling out decisions is it acceptances first or randomized?
Does anyone know at what time on May 1st decisions are rolling out?
I thought all decisions are before 4/30 as they stated on their admission page. Last year they released on 4/24, so I’m guess we’ll get the decision sometime this week
@transferr2020 Well, in the email they sent a couple of weeks ago, they changed the date from 4/30 to 5/1. They said decisions will be released on or before May 1st.
Even though it’s only a delay of one day, I think they’re planning to release decision closer to the 1st.
will they release decision tomorrow??
Maybe?? Not sure, but it’s possible they’ll release it tomorrow! I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on how the adjustment will be for a transfer student at Emory if we do get accepted. I’m sure it’ll be much different than if we entered freshman year, but I’m hoping that it’ll still be fine?
I just checked my portal and it says my testing scores were waived yesterday, even though I submitted the scores like 2 months ago. wonder what this means
@2021wdl Their page says, “Test scores are required if the student has not completed two full semesters (or three quarters) of college. If you are currently completing your second semester (or third quarter) of college, self-reported or official test scores must be submitted.”
Are you applying as a current freshman or sophomore?
Oh I think they will announce the decision next week
@choiii Hopefully, this wait for transfer decisions has been quite stressful for me personally (lol). I’m eager to hear back from Emory; I love the school!
