Also, I’m transferring from Union College in NY

@Sammyp1: As normal, when I am sleepy, I address posts to myself. The above is addressed to you. And also,it doesn’t matter where you transfer from, seriously. That’s irrelevant information. Your transition may not be much different from other transfers other than academics being a little more intense depending on the rigor of your previous schedule. Emory is a great school, but don’t come here just for the econ. major. Plan to go to the b-school or double major in a program that we actually do well/is not going downhill. You would like Emory more then and it would actually be worth transferring in terms of the academics.

@Bernie12 I am extremely confused… I stated where I was transferring from because someone asked me. Also, what are you talking about Econ? I’m not looking at Econ… Did you mistake my name for someone else? I really don’t understand your post at all.

Is the OPUS site down for anyone else? It isn’t loading… could this be a sign? Or is it just my computer?

@Sammyp1 :

Don’t be confused, I was. I didn’t read the other posts until now so my bad (I thought you were being like the chance me person who gave reasons for an AP score). And yes, I think I mixed you up with the person deciding between us, Vandy, and Michigan. I think it was banker, come to think of it. Looking through the posts, you were in fact the only one that hasn’t expressed a particular academic interest yet, so hopefully you’re considering Emory for something it does well. That advice, in a general sense, still goes for you.

Just curious but what do other people’s OPUS account say when you click on ‘View Online Decision’. I think mine has changed since the last time I checked (Sunday). It now says:

“Your admission decision is not available at this time. Please check your Admission To Do list for remaining application requirements. If all application materials have been received, check your school’s website for decision release dates or for decision timeframes. Thank you for your interest in Emory University”

@HopefulScholar64 Same here. I am so nervous now that I can’t concentrate on preparation for finals haha.

@HopefulScholar64 Mine has said that for weeks now. No change.

Do you know when they’ll post decisions?

@Juvenis @Sammvp1 @Hins123 I called today to ensure that my application was complete and asked the counselor about the decision date, he said to expect a response in 1-2 weeks and then you will have 3 weeks to accept and submit a deposit if accepted

Thanks a lot @bernie12 and @2cents4u – I think I will most likely attend UMich as I have always wanted to be at a large university. Your advise and comments were really helpful.
Apologies I could not thank earlier since I was not properly tagged in the comments and therefore didn’t receive any notifications.

Yep, Ann Arbor is awesome!!

@HopefulScholar64 One-two weeks response from today? But… isn’t today, April 25th Friday, the last Friday of April, “LATE APRIL”? 1-2 weeks from today is into May =.= Late April, yea right.

@jkim3265 that’s exactly how I feel. I am especially frustrated since other schools require deposits by May 1. I have paid them, but Emory is my first choice! It would be unfair of them to release the decisions later in May.

As of right now, I do not even care if I get rejected or accepted. I just want to hear their decision! I know this is bad, but it has been a long month and a half of waiting!

@jkim3265 Well I called on Wednesday so I took 1-2 weeks to mean this week as week 1 and next week as week 2 so the decisions should be up by May 2nd. Good Luck!

@HopefulScholar64 You meant this week is week 1? So there is a possibility that some people will hear from Emory today? Ah. I am so nervous haha.

Spoke to someone at Emory… Lady said decisions are to be released on the 30th of April.

I emailed the Assistant Dean of Admissions who was responsible for Transfers and she also said decisions would be released on the 30th. If they have all of your financial aid information, fin-aid packages would be released also on or near the same day.

30th is not bad. At least I can hear from Emory before depositing for other school.

Any other polisci applications?
