Same. I’m getting seriously ****ed now. I was in-state for Oxford, and my SAT scores were well beyond it’s 75th percentile. There were no problems with my recs, essay, or GPA. Idk why all of these colleges that I should be getting into are rejecting me.

If I got waitlisted at Oxford, I am pretty sure I don’t stand a chance for Emory.

D’s Oxford acceptance was up in Opus, early I guess! She is excited, we would be more so if we could find any info about financial info! We were worried, though, based on what we’d seen on this thread.

Things I need to remember:
-College does not determine the rest of your life. I will be able to succeed and change the world with or without a fancy overpriced diploma because I am confident, intelligent, and motivated.
-People who brag and make me feel bad about a rejection or mope too much and make me feel bad about an acceptance are *******s.
-Everyone ends up at the right place whether they realize it or not - sometimes you truly don’t fit with the school and the admissions committee realized that when you didn’t.
-Everyone gets rejected at some time or another. If I don’t get rejected from college I will be rejected from an internship, my first job, my second job, a scholarship, an award, etc. Just because someone has been accepted doesn’t mean the rest of their life is easy peasy lemon squeezey.
-I can always transfer.

hmm came out 5 minutes early…
rejected
oh well, i really didnt put effort in my essay. it was generic and done in 30 minutes (decided to apply last minute ><)

grats to all those who made it and good luck to others like me!

for reference, i was 2280/1520 SAT, most rigorous schedule (1AP, small school), average extra currics, 3 years of sports (no captain), 3.7x/4.1x GPA
