Rejected: Davidson (this happened yesterday and really worried me about Emory today, since Emory is literally twice as hard to get into. This makes the Davidson rejection all the more confusing).
I am waiting on USC/Stanford (hey, I’m a dreamer).
[/ul]General Comments: I am absolutely thrilled with my Emory acceptance. I browsed through the Stats thread and I am amazed at the quality of applicants. This year is truly one of the most difficult years for applicants at any top school. Admissions committees make some odd decisions, and I feel very blessed to have been chosen despite having lower stats than many others who received different decisions. Admissions are certainly holistic, and the results thread demonstrates that gpa and SATs are but a fraction of the methodology. So many of you are so intelligent, and will thrive no matter where you go. It seems like the majority of you have acceptances in hand from other schools of equal caliber, so hopefully it all works out. This was a huge one for me. If I am rejected from my other two schools I am waiting on (likely) there is a great chance I will matriculate at Emory this spring. I absolutely love the campus.

[/ul]General Comments:
Congrats to all and best of luck in your college decisions! I have to wait to see financial aid from Emory, but unless I win big, or unless I absolutely love it when I visit, I will probably not attend. It is the only school I applied to that doesn’t have, as far as I know, a Public Policy track (only Political Science), and that is what I’m most interested in. But I feel great and grateful! 5 for 5 :D

@alexstock what do you think re UVA v Emory?
