For those accepted this year, has anyone received an official FA award letter yet? Not the letter included with your acceptance package that states money awarded at that time, but the official letter from the Financial Aid office that breaks down all the aid that you will receive.

I’m an out of state student that didn’t receive a scholarship and last year I didn’t get the official financial aid award letter until May 20th. Hopefully, it will probably be earlier if you did get a scholarship or are in-state or are eligible for something other than stafford loans.

I sure hope so, pierre! We need the info so my D can make a decision before May 1st.

I agree! We have really liked what we know of Clemson, but other schools have been much more communicative. Because our county won’t allow GC recs. to be emailed, we’re still waiting to know if son has been accepted to Honors. They don’t look at snail mail until all of the email apps. have been processed. So, that’s an additional thing we’re waiting on. blegh…

The official financial aid award packages go out in the mail the first or second week in April, based on what past posts bave been. University’s are required (or at least do, if not required) to send all admissions and financial aid awards well before (ie, 2-3 weeks) the May 1 decision deadline.

March has too many days in it. LOL I think the waiting is killing me more that my D!

I remember thoswe days – but just know, no matter how frustrating all this is, in one year, when your D is finishing up her freshman year and will soon be off to an awesome internship or study abroad or something, this will all be a distant memory!

I don’t think I am going to get any help whatsoever. However, I still want to know! I agree march does have about 15 days too many! are you guys going no matter what?

Right now, it doesn’t look good for my D to go to Clemson. We just can’t make up the huge OOS difference.

Hey kyleram07…my son won’t be going to Clemson, if we don’t get more than the OOS waiver. :/

thats a bummer sorry to hear that feedback. I really hope that you guys get one. People on here seem very committed students and parents. Let me know how it all works out. My family EFC is 0 so I believe its probably a blessing in disguise? The EFC is 100% on too.
