Official Fall 2006 Success Stories

I love this thread. Im going to BC next year but I think I want to transfer up to UChicago, Cornell, Notre Dame, Duke, or maybe even Harvard or MIT. Its great to know that its actually possible to achieve transfer dreams.

I got into Northwestern! :)...It had been my dream school since I was a freshman in high school. Nearly everything about the school caters to all of my needs and aspirations. Unfortunately, I was rejected my senior year (I only have 1220 SAT scores)...but I was happy to find an acceptance letter on June 12!...it was even dated on my birthday! I couldn't be happier, and I am soooo stoked. And you know what...I damn well deserve this, because I worked my ass off my first-year of college. haha. Anything you set your mind to CAN happen...so screw standardized testing and the stereotyped image of the "perfect" student.

3.3 College GPA, 3.3 HS GPA, ACT 28 - IN at Chicago.

Um with the GT thing you just apply normally and get this letter in the mail with the requirements for Freshman year at another college (3.3 gpa, min 15 credits, no grade lower then a B, ect...) and then you get an automatic spot at Cornell sophomore year. I'm really excited that I got it. PS I went to a highschool in Connecticut and now I am going to go to Stonehill College with a $26,125 package and a $500 local scholarship. I am paying less than $500 for tuition!!! (Room and board is another thing tho haha).

For the person who's going to BC - there was a kid posting around the Cornell forums earlier from BC who got a transfer spot to Harvard and Cornell! (he happened to have a 4.0 in the honors program, but hey, anything can happen!).

Count me in:
I got in all the top universities that I applied to including UCB, UCLA, UCSD, UCI and USC plus some others.

Major: Either Electrical Engineering or Math/Applied Science (because I applied as different major in different school)

GPA: 3.69 at the time of applying, I have recently earned 4.0 GPA in this Spring 2006 with 18 semester units so my cummulative GPA is now 3.76!

I have chosen UCLA and will be attending UCLA next Fall 2006! Yay! Go Bruins!!!!!

Well I am in the Honors program at BC, so I guess thats a good thing to hear.

I got into Berkeley even tho I almost failed highschool.

I got into Berkeley even though I never graduated high school.

in @ Stanford....

jacobiam are you an engineering student? And do you mind posting your stats?

thinking about doing engineering.....but maybe just math or physics, I haven't yet decided. Will post stats later.

Did you successfully transfer all your credits? How did that go?

I got 90 units...the max allowed.
