i’m doing my resume right now, but i noticed that there’s no word limit in the work experience/ECs section. how many words do u guys think we should write for the description?

i still cant believe 1000 applicants could not follow directions.

Sheep to the slaughter.

i know that some of you put the total number of classes you entered under
Total # of Major Prerequisite Courses
(Completed, In Progress, and Planned for spring term)

my initial thought was the # of classes plan, or in progress FOR the spring term.
but then I see some of you answer as the total number of classes completed after spring term.
can anyone clarify? thanks!

I think the resume template is pretty lame…

its sooo inflexible…how are we supposed to account for gaps in activities?!

still working on the descriptions…not sure how many words itll take me.

When I applied to Haas last year, I thought it would be a real resume. I bought a resume book and everything. Then when I did it, I was like ***: it was basically copy-past from uc application.

I have trouble getting through when I try to call Haas admissions. I always get that prerecorded message about how their lines or busy or its at a nonbusiness hours :(

^did u call today? i’m sure they don’t work on holidays

OH YEAH, but even before MLK day I’ve tried before. It’s all good I got through today.

hey do you guys know if one class can be used to fulfill 2 breadth requirements?

no, each class can only fulfill one requirement… also meaning that prereq can’t fulfill breadth and breadth can’t fulfill prereq.

Hence why you can’t use your two intro econ courses (micro and macro) to fulfill the social breadth requirement like other majors can.

^ thats Haas only, other colleges/majors allow u to use the same class as a pre-req and for IGETC

one more week left! who submitted already??

i’m still working on my essay. gotta work on usc app too

Wait so did you guys just copy and paste stuff from ur original UC app to the Haas supplemental Resume?.. I don’t really get the point of it.

yea that’s what i did. it’s just red tape

hey all, what’s the essay question for this year?

A. How do your friends describe you? Do you agree or disagree? Why/Why not?

B. Briefly describe how you envision your first year in the major. How will your presence be known?

& I’m up now writing my essay. weeeeeeeee

just in case anyone reading this later on has a question about meeting requirements with more advanced classes than listed on assist

i finally got around to calling haas (no wait at all, thankfully) and generally a math class that is more advanced can be accepted in lieu of the basic class assist lists…though the class ought to articulate to specific cal math class…so math 1d at de anza doesn’t meet the requirement by itself even though it’s more advanced than 1a which does meet the requirement by itself, you would also need math 1c (thankfully i took math 3b at west valley which meets it :] )

glad it worked out lomkh

so if i take calculus 2 i dont have to take calculus 1 pre req?
